Improve the rollout
Ground control varies with speed, full authority at walking pace, progressively reducing as groundspeed rises. The aircraft becomes twitchy at any speed, every small pedal input swings the nose, which can encourage large-amplitude leg inputs that no real aircraft would accept.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,680 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,680 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 479 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KSFZ North Central State Airport, taking approximately 3 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 33, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,287 feet, which was 40% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 87 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 68°F and a wind of 5 knots at 260°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots. The enroute climb started overhead KSFZ North Central State Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 952 feet above sea level to 20,184 feet above sea level, an increase of 19,231 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 38 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 1 mile north of the Oxoboxo River in Connecticut, lasting 115 minutes and covering 204 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 2 miles north of the O.N.4 Chandelle Airport in Dover, Delaware, descending from 20,353 feet above sea level to 152 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,201 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 52 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 30 at KANP Lee Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 288.0° at 0 nautical miles and 122 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 1,680 feet, with a good threshold height. However, the threshold speed was too high at 88 knots, and the touchdown point was very long, using more than 50% of the available runway. The touchdown speed was 81 knots, which was fast, and the touchdown rate was fair at -243 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 feet from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 66°F and a wind of 4 knots at 126°, with a crosswind component of 1 knot and a tailwind component of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,437 feet, which was 86% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The total flight distance was 297 nautical miles, taking 62 minutes, and the aircraft used 748 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet aircraft successfully landed on runway 30 at KANP Lee Airport, but there were some areas for improvement. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 288.0° at 0 nm and 122 ft above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway, but the touchdown point was quite far down the runway, using more than 50% of the available 1,680 ft runway length.
The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was too high at 88 kt, which may have contributed to the long touchdown point. The touchdown speed of 81 kt was also faster than ideal, and the touchdown rate of -243 fpm was only fair. This suggests that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to reduce the touchdown speed and rate.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 ft from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the approach or during the flare. The local weather conditions were relatively calm, with a temperature of 66°F and winds of 4 kt at 126°. The crosswind was minimal at 1 kt, and the tailwind was 4 kt, which may have contributed to the long touchdown point.
The total landing distance was 1,437 ft, which is 86% of the available runway length. This is a relatively long landing distance, but the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some areas for improvement, particularly in terms of touchdown speed and rate, and runway alignment.
