MY FS FLIGHTS

Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 500 ft gate: off the centreline and speed above the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,739 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 488 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from LZKU Pliešovce Airstrip, the Kodiak 100 began its journey with a smooth departure roll on runway 31. The aircraft accelerated to liftoff speed of 81 kt, clearing the runway threshold in 315 m, which accounted for 81% of the available runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 6 °C, with a gentle headwind of 4 kt and a crosswind of 6 kt.
As the aircraft transitioned into the enroute phase, it began a level cruise overhead LZKU Pliešovce Airstrip Krupina, lasting 1 minute and covering 2 nm. The crew then initiated a climb from 1,864 ft asl to 7,865 ft asl, a vertical gain of 6,001 ft, which was achieved in 12 minutes and spanned 37 nm. The aircraft continued to cruise at various altitudes, with a notable level cruise segment lasting 558 minutes and covering 125 nm. The crew also executed several descents, including a 491 ft decrease in 2 minutes and a 5,411 ft decrease in 5 minutes, both of which were achieved with precision.
The final approach to runway 34C at LOWG Graz Airport was initiated from the south, with the aircraft descending from 6,893 ft asl to 1,483 ft asl. The landing was executed with a touchdown speed of 63 kt, which was slightly above the optimal threshold speed. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -112 fpm, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The total landing distance was 1,331 m, accounting for 49% of the available runway length. Following a successful landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, concluding the flight with a total distance of 196 nm and a fuel consumption of 85 kg.
The aircraft touched down on runway 34C at LOWG Graz Airport, a 2,739-meter-long runway, with a smooth touchdown rate of -112 feet per minute. The touchdown point was 46 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight overrun. The touchdown speed of 63 knots was a bit higher than desired, but the aircraft's deceleration was well-managed.
The approach quality was good, with a final approach to the runway from the south at a heading of 349.0 degrees, 1 nautical mile from the threshold and at an altitude of 370 feet above ground level. The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly too high at 86 knots. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway centerline.
The rollout phase was executed well, with the aircraft maintaining very good alignment on the runway. The total landing distance of 1,331 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 96.7%. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and a light wind of 3 knots from 222 degrees, contributed to a relatively straightforward landing.
