Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,387 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 476 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 08R at EDDM Munich Airport. The takeoff distance was 91 meters, which is 2% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 145 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 290 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile east of EDDM Munich Airport and climbing from an altitude of 2,527 feet above sea level to 36,963 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,436 feet in 21 minutes and covering a distance of 133 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles east of Belluno, Italy, and lasted for 14 minutes, covering a distance of 108 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 4 miles east of Liznjan, Croatia, and descending from 36,323 feet above sea level to 3,178 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,146 feet in 20 minutes and covering a distance of 120 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 11 miles south of Rogoznica, Croatia, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles south east of Vinisce, Croatia, and descending from 2,632 feet above sea level to 1,333 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,299 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 05 at LDSP Split Airport was made from the south west, heading 54.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,260 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 05, which has a length of 2,387 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed at 136 knots.
The touchdown point was 66 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 129 knots, which is a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -218 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were the same as at the time of departure, with a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 290 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 6 knots and a tailwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,260 meters, which is 53% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 385 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 72 minutes. The aircraft used 3,280 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at LDSP Split Airport, achieving a high score of 98.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 54.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,260 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed on runway 05, which has a length of 2,387 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 136 knots. This minor deviation did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The touchdown point was 66 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 129 knots was a bit faster than desired, but the touchdown rate of -218 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 22°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from 290°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the tailwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not pose a significant challenge to the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,260 meters, which is 53% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was excellent, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to touch down safely on the runway. While there were some minor deviations from the target parameters, the pilot's performance was still considered excellent, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop within a reasonable distance.
