MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,823 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,823 m of the 3,100 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 520 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway at Brussels Airport, which took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 01 at EBBR Brussels Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,134 meters, which was 78% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 220 knots, and the local weather conditions were a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 8 knots at 80°.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it passed over Steenokkerzeel in Flanders, Belgium, and began its ascent from 1,067 feet above sea level to 30,428 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,360 feet in 16 minutes and covering a distance of 93 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 24 miles north of Fort-Mardyck in Hauts-de-France, France, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 50 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 31,122 feet above sea level to 32,877 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,755 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 16 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 1 mile east of South Ockendon in the Borough of Thurrock, England, and lasted for 192 minutes, covering a distance of 1,351 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its journey, passing over several locations, including Latitude: 43.4940609 Longitude: -31.177514, where it climbed from 31,846 feet above sea level to 33,623 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,776 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 16 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started at Latitude: 43.3469209 Longitude: -31.511249 and lasted for 231 minutes, covering a distance of 1,711 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 37,656 feet above sea level to 39,072 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,416 feet in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 18 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started at Latitude: 26.5245885 Longitude: -60.4283639 and lasted for 69 minutes, covering a distance of 558 nautical miles.
As the aircraft began its descent, it started from 39,291 feet above sea level to 12,015 feet above sea level, a decrease of 27,277 feet in 13 minutes and covering a distance of 94 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 11 miles south east of Miches in the Provincia de El Seibo, Dominican Republic, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final descent, from 11,617 feet above sea level to 1,498 feet above sea level, a decrease of 10,118 feet in 5 minutes and covering a distance of 22 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 08 at Punta Cana International Airport was from the west, with a heading of 74.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,397 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 08 at MDPC Punta Cana International Airport, with a runway length of 3,100 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 149 knots. The touchdown point was 106 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 146 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -281 feet per minute, and
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at MDPC Punta Cana International Airport, achieving a score of 96.5%. The final approach to runway 08 was initiated from the west, with a heading of 74.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,397 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating a stable and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 148 kn, registering at 149 kn. However, the touchdown point was 106 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing path. The touchdown speed of 146 kn was also a bit faster than desired, suggesting that the aircraft may have been slightly over-controlled during the final stages of the approach.
The touchdown rate of -281 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, indicating a moderate rate of descent. Notably, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 23°C and a gentle headwind of 8 kn from a direction of 80°. The crosswind component was minimal, at 1 kn.
The total landing distance of 1,744 meters was 56% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the braking phase and maintained a stable alignment with the runway centerline. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
