Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,959 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 293 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 13 at Caen-Carpiquet Airport (LFRK), with a takeoff distance of 844 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 134 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 12°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots blowing from a direction of 120°. This resulted in a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the town of Bretteville-sur-Odon in Normandie, France. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,282 feet above sea level to 37,082 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,799 feet, in just 9 minutes and covering a distance of 101 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began overhead the town of Angervilliers in Ile-de-France, France. This phase lasted for 10 minutes and covered a distance of 261 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile east of La Coucourde in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 37,216 feet above sea level to 1,299 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,916 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 118 nautical miles.
The final approach to the runway was made from the southwest, heading 45.0°, at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,279 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on runway 04R at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport (LFMN), which had a length of 2,959 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 123 knots. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 117 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -292 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 3.2 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.8 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 9 knots blowing from a direction of 89°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 6 knots. The total landing distance was 1,143 meters, which accounted for 39% of the runway.
The flight concluded with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, a process that took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 487 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 45 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 2,837 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 04R at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, achieving a score of 97.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 45.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,279 feet above ground level.
The landing was executed with good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it touched down on the runway. The threshold speed of 123 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. However, the touchdown speed of 117 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly higher touchdown rate.
The touchdown rate of -292 feet per minute was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft touched down with a moderate amount of force. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's alignment during the landing phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 9 knots from a direction of 89°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was also 6 knots. These conditions were relatively calm, which may have contributed to the successful landing.
The total landing distance of 1,143 meters was 39% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.8 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's alignment during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft touching down safely on the runway and coming to a stop within a reasonable distance. However, there were some minor deviations in the pilot's alignment and speed control, which may have been due to a combination of factors including weather conditions and pilot experience.
