MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,937 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,937 m of the 3,527 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 527 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 10 at TNCB Flamingo International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,193 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 175 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 33 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 110 degrees.
The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile south east of Kralendijk, Bonaire, and involved a significant increase in altitude from 1,040 feet above sea level to 33,029 feet above sea level, a rise of 31,989 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 116 nautical miles. Following this climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 155 minutes and covered 1,238 nautical miles. The cruise phase was initiated at a latitude of 14.0379033 and a longitude of -67.8179148.
The flight then underwent another enroute climb, this time from a latitude of 31.0001007 and a longitude of -54.9996417, where the aircraft climbed from 32,997 feet above sea level to 35,028 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,031 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The subsequent level cruise phase lasted for 175 minutes and covered 1,380 nautical miles, initiated at a latitude of 31.134148 and a longitude of -54.7899516.
The flight continued with another enroute climb, from a latitude of 43.0285114 and a longitude of -29.9187789, where the aircraft climbed from 35,036 feet above sea level to 36,832 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,796 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles. The subsequent level cruise phase lasted for 154 minutes and covered 1,346 nautical miles, initiated at a latitude of 43.1404713 and a longitude of -29.608249.
As the flight progressed, the aircraft began its descent, starting 1 mile south east of Harwich, Essex, England. The descent involved a significant decrease in altitude from 36,748 feet above sea level to 1,272 feet above sea level, a drop of 35,476 feet in 25 minutes, covering a distance of 128 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 18R at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was initiated from the north, heading 183.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,270 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 18R, which had a length of 3,527 meters, was characterized by a good threshold height. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 148 knots. The touchdown point was 118 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 144 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -323 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 160 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 6 knots. The total landing distance was 1,863 meters, which accounted for 53% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 6 minutes and covered 3 nautical miles. The total flight distance was
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 95.9%. The final approach to runway 18R was conducted from the north, with a heading of 183.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being satisfactory. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 148 kt. The touchdown point was located 118 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 144 kt was also a bit faster than desired, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -323 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.3 meters, which may have been due to the aircraft's alignment during the final approach. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13°C, with a wind speed of 7 kt from a direction of 160°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 kt, while the headwind component was 6 kt, which may have contributed to the slight deviations in the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,863 meters was 53% of the available runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied effectively to bring the plane to a stop. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters.
