Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,906 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 290 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a DA62, then departed from runway 29 at LDDU Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport. The takeoff distance was 791 meters, which is 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 100 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 16°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 270°.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered various weather conditions and navigated through several checkpoints. The first enroute climb started overhead Zvekovica, where the aircraft climbed from 1,176 feet above sea level to 4,143 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,967 feet in 4 minutes, covering 9 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 3 miles south of Gruda, lasting 4 minutes and covering 13 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its journey, with subsequent enroute climbs and level cruises. The climb from 4,507 feet above sea level to 5,268 feet above sea level, an increase of 761 feet in 2 minutes, covered 6 nautical miles. The level cruise from 1 mile east of Njegusi lasted 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles. The climb from 5,696 feet above sea level to 6,509 feet above sea level, an increase of 813 feet in 2 minutes, covered 7 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a prolonged level cruise, lasting 42 minutes and covering 135 nautical miles, starting 3 miles west of Goricani. However, the flight was not without its challenges, as the aircraft encountered various descent periods. The descent from 7,416 feet above sea level to 4,891 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,525 feet in 2 minutes, covered 6 nautical miles. The level cruise from 4 miles south east of Himare lasted 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles.
The final descent started 7 miles north of Acharavi, where the aircraft descended from 4,284 feet above sea level to 2,767 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,517 feet in 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles. The level cruise from 1 mile west of Kassiopi lasted 14 minutes, covering 14 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34 at LGKR Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport was from the south, heading 357.0° at 2 nautical miles and 733 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 34 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 287 meters, which is good. However, the touchdown speed of 90 knots was too fast, and the touchdown rate of -297 feet per minute was fair. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 14.9 meters from the centreline.
The total landing distance was 580 meters, which is 30% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 15.9 meters from the centreline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 218 nautical miles, taking 84 minutes, and the aircraft used 80 kilograms of fuel.
The DA62 aircraft successfully landed at LGKR Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport, achieving an overall score of 88.2%. The final approach to runway 34 was initiated from the south, with the aircraft heading 357.0° at 2 nautical miles and 733 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was executed on a runway with a length of 1,906 meters, and the threshold height was reported as good.
However, there were some areas for improvement during the landing. The threshold speed was too high at 101 knots, indicating that the pilot may have been able to slow down more efficiently before touchdown. Additionally, the touchdown speed of 90 knots was also considered too fast, suggesting that the pilot could have maintained a more controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -297 feet per minute was fair, but could be improved upon.
The aircraft's touchdown position was misaligned by 14.9 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the final approach or during the landing roll. The total landing distance of 580 meters was 30% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a light wind of 2 knots from 270°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and there was no headwind. Overall, the landing was successful, but there are opportunities for improvement in terms of speed control and alignment during the final approach and landing roll.
