MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Speed on the slow side
Between four hundred and a thousand feet you're heavy, close to the ground and still carrying flap, and speed is the margin holding all three apart. Slow here doesn't feel like anything — the aeroplane climbs, the nose is up, nothing complains — right up until a turn, a gust or a bank tightens the wing's job and the margin is already gone. The fix is rarely "fly faster", it's lowering the nose a degree and letting the speed build before the next thing you do. Pitch buys altitude, speed buys options, and at this height options are the scarcer of the two.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,957 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,957 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 381 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Ibiza Airport, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 06, the crew prepared for departure, taking into account the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 23 °C and a gentle headwind of 5 kt. The aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 149 kt, using 53% of the 1,487-meter runway.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it began its ascent from 962 feet above sea level to 33,619 feet, a vertical increase of 32,657 feet in just 25 minutes, covering a distance of 166 nautical miles. The crew then leveled off and entered a cruise phase, maintaining a steady altitude for 7 minutes as the aircraft covered 58 nautical miles. The crew continued to climb and level off multiple times throughout the flight, with the final descent starting over Hechingen, Germany, where the aircraft descended from 35,968 feet to 9,993 feet in 11 minutes, covering 79 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached Frankfurt Airport, the crew began its final descent, leveling off briefly before starting the final approach to runway 07R. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 133 kt, with a touchdown distance of 388 meters, slightly above the optimal threshold speed. The crew then rolled out of the runway, maintaining perfect alignment, before taxiing to the parking area, a process that took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 873 nautical miles, taking 132 minutes, and the aircraft used 6,749 kilograms of fuel throughout the journey.
The aircraft touched down on runway 07R at EDDF Frankfurt Airport with a firm touchdown rate of -319 fpm, slightly above the optimal range. The touchdown speed of 133 kt was a little fast, but the pilot managed to maintain control and bring the aircraft to a stop within a reasonable distance. The touchdown distance of 388 m was good, and the threshold speed of 138 kt was well within the acceptable range.
As the aircraft rolled out, it maintained perfect centerline alignment, a testament to the pilot's skill and attention to detail. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft tracking smoothly along the centerline. The total landing distance of 1,885 m was 47% of the runway length, a respectable figure considering the firm touchdown rate and slightly fast touchdown speed.
The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a smooth, controlled descent. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 20 °C and a light wind of 3 kt at 349 °, contributed to a stable and predictable approach. Overall, the landing was a success, with a score of 98.2% reflecting the pilot's skill and attention to detail.
