Improve the rollout
Ground control varies with speed, full authority at walking pace, progressively reducing as groundspeed rises. The aircraft becomes twitchy at any speed, every small pedal input swings the nose, which can encourage large-amplitude leg inputs that no real aircraft would accept.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,802 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,802 m of the 3,194 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 563 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 04 at London Stansted Airport, EGSS. The Boeing 737-800 took off with a takeoff distance of 1,344 meters, which was 49% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 163 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 40 degrees, resulting in a 10-knot headwind and no crosswind.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile south east of Elsenham, Essex, England, at an altitude of 1,398 feet above sea level. The climb continued to an altitude of 34,353 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,956 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 140 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 25 miles north of Alderney Airport, Saint Anne, Guernsey, and lasted for 37 minutes, covering a distance of 1,273 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 112 miles south east of Canico, Madeira, Portugal, from an altitude of 35,951 feet above sea level to 7,100 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,852 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 215 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 10 miles west of Playa de las Americas, Canary Islands, Spain, and lasted for 154 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. The enroute descent then started 9 miles south east of San Sebastian de la Gomera, Canary Islands, Spain, from an altitude of 6,733 feet above sea level to 1,501 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,233 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 18 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07 at Tenerife Sur Airport, GCTS, was from the south west, heading 69.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,249 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 07, which had a length of 3,194 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 133 knots. The touchdown point was 136 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 122 knots, which was good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -265 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 15.4 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 12 knots at 60 degrees, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 12-knot headwind. The total landing distance was 1,711 meters, which was 54% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.8 meters from the centreline.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway, taking 5 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,658 nautical miles, taking 76 minutes, and the aircraft used 11,108 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at GCTS Tenerife Sur Airport, achieving a score of 91.8%. The final approach to runway 07 was initiated from the south-west, with a heading of 69.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,249 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold speed of 133 knots being maintained. The touchdown point was located 136 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 122 knots was within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate of -265 feet per minute was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more gently.
One notable issue with the landing was the significant misalignment of the runway touchdown position, which was off-centerline by 15.4 meters. This could have been due to a variety of factors, including wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 18°C and a wind speed of 12 knots from a direction of 60°. The crosswind component was minimal, at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 12 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,711 meters was 54% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned, being off-centerline by 14.8 meters. This could have been due to a combination of factors, including the initial touchdown position and the aircraft's braking performance.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal performance. The pilots demonstrated good control and management of the aircraft, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown rate and runway alignment.
