Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 305 m and 152 m above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,493 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 396 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The 1.80 G arrival is the firm side of smooth.
The rest of the report
Aircraft A21N departed from runway 26R at EKYT Aalborg Airport, Denmark, with a takeoff distance of 1,871 meters, accounting for 64% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 164 knots, with a local temperature of 14°C and a headwind of 6 knots. The initial climb phase began approximately one mile west of the airport, where the aircraft ascended from 313 meters above sea level to 10,222 meters above sea level, a vertical increase of 9,909.2 meters, in 18 minutes and covering 117 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phases were interspersed with short climb segments, allowing the aircraft to maintain optimal altitude and fuel efficiency. The first level cruise phase started approximately seven miles southwest of Harby, Denmark, and lasted 17 minutes, covering 144 nautical miles. The aircraft then climbed to a higher altitude over Trebel, Germany, before entering another level cruise phase over Rossau, Germany, which lasted 27 minutes and covered 235 nautical miles. The descent phase began approximately one mile northwest of Uhelna Pribram, Czech Republic, where the aircraft descended from 10,671 meters above sea level to 4,268 meters above sea level, a vertical decrease of 6,403 meters, in 12 minutes and covering 93 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 29 at LOWW Vienna International Airport was conducted from the southeast, with a heading of 296.0° at 4 nautical miles and 373.1 meters above ground level. The aircraft landed on the runway, with a touchdown distance of 400 meters and a touchdown speed of 131 knots. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.5 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,438 meters, accounting for 41% of the runway length. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, covering less than one nautical mile in three minutes. The total flight distance was 699 nautical miles, with a flight time of 1 hour and 9 minutes, and a fuel consumption of 4,372 kilograms.
The aircraft touched down on runway 29 at LOWW Vienna International Airport with a good threshold height, allowing for a smooth transition from the approach to the touchdown phase. The threshold speed of 134 kt was well within the acceptable range, indicating a well-executed approach. The touchdown distance of 400 m was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent and maintain a stable approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 131 kt was good, but the touchdown rate of -1.5 m/s was only fair, suggesting a slightly longer than ideal deceleration. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.5 m from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the approach path or a minor control issue during the final stages of the landing. Despite this, the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 24 °C and a light headwind of 1 kt, were generally favorable for the landing.
The aircraft's rollout was characterized by very good alignment, with the aircraft staying close to the centreline throughout the rollout phase. The total landing distance of 1,438 m, which accounted for 41% of the runway length, was acceptable, considering the slight misalignment at touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered to be of high quality, with a score of 97.7% reflecting the pilot's skill and attention to detail during the approach and landing phases.
