MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,457 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,457 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 144 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Cessna 750 Citation X taxied from the parking area to the departure runway, a movement that required 8 minutes and covered 1 nm.
The aircraft commenced its departure roll on runway 24 at EDLE Essen Mülheim Airport, achieving a takeoff distance of 557 m (46 % of the runway) and lifting off at 146 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 19 °C, wind 18 kt from 234°, with a 4 kt crosswind component and a 17 kt headwind.
Climb began 1 mile southwest of EDLE, with the jet ascending from 1,237 ft asl to 44,991 ft asl, a gain of 43,753 ft achieved in 22 minutes while covering 159 nm.
Level cruise was established 1 mile north of EDTK Karlsruhe-Forchheim Airport, persisting for 28 minutes and traversing 238 nm.
Descent commenced 2 miles north of Castiglione delle Stiviere, Italy, with altitude decreasing from 44,736 ft asl to 4,212 ft asl, a loss of 40,524 ft over 20 minutes and a distance of 118 nm.
A subsequent level cruise started 3 miles south of San Miniato, lasting 2 minutes and covering 5 nm.
The next descent began 3 miles southeast of Empoli, Italy, dropping from 3,992 ft asl to 1,358 ft asl, a reduction of 2,634 ft in 3 minutes across 9 nm.
Final approach to runway 05 at LIRQ Florence Airport proceeded with a descent from 1,280 ft agl to 30 ft agl in 106 seconds, and the approach was scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 05, which measures 1,457 m, was executed with a threshold speed of 122 kt, slightly above target, and touchdown occurred 143 m down the runway at a speed of 120 kt, a little fast. The aircraft experienced a hard touchdown rate of minus 596 fpm and a runway touchdown position offset by 4.4 m from the centreline. Local weather reported a temperature of 28 °C, wind 5 kt from 180°, a 4 kt crosswind and a 3 kt tailwind. Total landing distance was 964 m (66 % of the runway).
During rollout the aircraft remained slightly misaligned, with the centreline deviation measured at 14.8 m.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 537 nm, required 89 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 1,232 kg of fuel.
The Cessna 750 Citation X approached runway 05 at LIRQ Florence Airport in a stabilised configuration, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits at the 1,000 ft gate. The descent proceeded from 1,280 ft agl to 30 ft agl in 106 seconds, and the local weather was 28 °C with a 5 kt wind from 180°, including a 4 kt crosswind and a 3 kt tailwind component.
During the threshold and flare the aircraft maintained a good threshold height, while the threshold speed was slightly above target at 122 kt. Touchdown occurred 143 m down the runway, with a touchdown speed of 120 kt that was a little fast and a very hard touchdown rate of -596 fpm. The touchdown point was slightly off centreline by 4.4 m.
The touchdown phase confirmed the 143 m distance and 120 kt speed, and the hard vertical rate of -596 fpm was recorded. Centreline deviation remained at 4.4 m from the runway centreline at the moment of wheel-strike.
Rollout used 964 m of the 1,457 m runway, representing 66 % of the available length, and the aircraft’s alignment drifted to 14.8 m off centreline during the rollout.
With a score of 85.2 % the landing was solid; refining flare timing to soften the -596 fpm rate and tightening centreline control to reduce the 4.4 m and 14.8 m deviations will further improve precision.
