MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,547 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,547 m of the 2,994 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 445 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 23 at ZYHB Harbin Taiping International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,459 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 156 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -9°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 260°.
As the aircraft climbed out of Harbin, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile southwest of the airport. The climb took 21 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,487 feet above sea level to 32,506 feet, an increase of 31,019 feet. The enroute climb covered a distance of 134 nautical miles. The local weather conditions during this period were similar to those at the departure airport, with a temperature of -9°C and a wind speed of 7 knots at 260°.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 31 miles southeast of Wuchang, China. This phase lasted for 99 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 781 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 5 miles southeast of Takedamachi, Japan. The descent took 5 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 34,015 feet to 18,391 feet, a decrease of 15,624 feet. The enroute descent covered a distance of 35 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 19 miles northeast of Hitoyoshi, Japan. This phase lasted for only 2 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started 11 miles east of Hitoyoshi. The descent took 12 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 17,592 feet to 2,372 feet, a decrease of 15,220 feet. The final descent covered a distance of 49 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached RJFK Kagoshima Airport, it entered a final approach phase, during which it flew towards runway 34 from the southeast, heading 330.0° at 3 nautical miles and 937 feet above ground level. The local weather conditions at the airport were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 19 knots at 330°.
The aircraft landed on runway 34, which had a length of 2,994 meters. The touchdown distance was 445 meters, and the touchdown speed was 137 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -122 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, which took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 1,020 nautical miles, took 155 minutes, and used 6,531 kilograms of fuel. The flight was characterized by a smooth and efficient climb, cruise, and descent phases, as well as a good landing performance.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at RJFK Kagoshima Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the southeast, heading 330.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 937 feet above ground level (agl). This positioning allowed the pilots to maintain a stable and controlled descent onto the runway.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 137 knots, which was slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 145 knots. However, this minor deviation did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The touchdown distance of 445 meters was well within the acceptable range, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilots had maintained precise control over the aircraft's descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 19 knots from a direction of 330°. This resulted in a headwind of 19 knots, which had a negligible impact on the aircraft's performance. The crosswind component was effectively zero, allowing the pilots to maintain a stable approach and landing.
The total landing distance of 1,460 meters was 49% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft had landed within a reasonable distance from the threshold. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating that the pilots had maintained control over the aircraft's speed and direction during the rollout phase.
Overall, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft's landing at RJFK Kagoshima Airport was a success, with a score of 98.1% indicating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The pilots' ability to maintain precise control over the aircraft's descent, speed, and direction resulted in a smooth and controlled landing, with minimal deviations from the recommended parameters.
