Settle the descent rate
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: sink rate 2,985 fpm, more than the glideslope needed and glideslope 5.2° against the runway's 3°.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,567 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,567 m of the 1,888 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,185 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Jalal-Abad Airport (UAJA), the aircraft began its taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles in 3 minutes. Upon reaching runway 01, the departure roll commenced, with the aircraft taking off in a distance of 611 meters, utilizing 35% of the available runway. The liftoff speed was achieved at 83 knots, as the aircraft transitioned from the ground to the air.
As the aircraft climbed to a cruising altitude, it began its enroute climb 1 mile north of UAJA, ascending from 3,647 feet above sea level to 16,610 feet above sea level, an increase of 12,962 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 25 miles southwest of Kazarman Airport (UAFZ), with the aircraft descending from 16,597 feet above sea level to 6,023 feet above sea level, a decrease of 10,575 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 24 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 11 at UAFZ was initiated from the west, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 109.0 degrees at 3 nautical miles and 1,802 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 11 at UAFZ was executed, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 70 knots and a rate of -185 feet per minute. However, the touchdown point was located beyond 50% of the available runway, and the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 13.1 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,418 meters, accounting for 75% of the runway. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 1 minute. The total flight distance was 62 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 23 minutes and a fuel consumption of 61 kilograms.
The final approach to runway 11 at UAFZ Kazarman Airport from the west was initiated at 3 nm and 1,802 ft above ground level, heading 109.0°. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a threshold height significantly above target at 84 ft agl. However, the threshold speed was slightly below target at 76 kt, indicating a slight deviation from the standard approach procedure.
As the aircraft touched down, it utilized more than 50% of the available runway, resulting in a long touchdown point. The touchdown speed of 70 kt was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -185 fpm was also good. Unfortunately, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 13.1 m from the centreline, indicating a slight deviation from the centreline alignment. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 17 °C and a wind of 1 kt at 18°, did not significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,418 m was 75% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 13.2 m from the centreline, similar to the touchdown position. Overall, the landing performance scored 63.4%, indicating a satisfactory but not exceptional landing.
