MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 6,736 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 6,736 ft of the 13,993 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,512 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a landing score of 99.7%! That is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to your skill as a pilot.
In the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, and although your speed was slightly above target, it did not detract from the overall smoothness of the approach. This demonstrates your ability to maintain precision and control during this critical phase of the landing.
During the Landing Phase, you displayed exceptional technique by maintaining a good threshold height and executing a perfect landing flare. These are key elements in ensuring a smooth touchdown and minimizing the impact on the aircraft.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was fair, and your speed was on target. Additionally, touching down within the touchdown zone and in the correct runway touchdown position showcases your attention to detail and ability to accurately judge distances and angles.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was very good, further demonstrating your ability to maintain control and stability as the aircraft decelerates and comes to a stop.
Overall, your performance throughout the landing was exemplary, with each phase executed with precision and skill. Your dedication to excellence in all aspects of the landing process is evident in the high score you achieved. Keep up the fantastic work and continue to strive for perfection in your flying endeavors. Well done!
