Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,548 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,548 m of the 1,909 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 545 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Fantastic job on achieving a landing score of 98.2%! Your approach phase was executed with precision, showcasing excellent glideslope alignment. This sets the tone for a successful landing as it ensures a smooth descent towards the runway.
Moving on to the landing phase, it's great to see that your threshold height was good and your landing flare was very well executed. These are crucial elements in ensuring a safe and controlled touchdown.
During the touchdown phase, your touchdown rate was deemed fair and your speed was right on target. While the touchdown point was slightly beyond the designated zone, it's a minor deviation that can easily be improved upon with practice. Additionally, the runway touchdown position being 1.6m from the centerline shows a commendable level of accuracy.
As you progressed into the rollout phase, your runway alignment was slightly off by 3.4m from the centerline. This is another area where there is room for improvement, but overall, it did not significantly impact the overall score.
Overall, your performance was truly impressive, and with continued practice and attention to detail, you are well on your way to achieving even higher scores. Keep up the great work and continue striving for excellence in your landings. Well done!
