MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,474 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 546 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight was conducted in a SR22 aircraft, departing from runway 34 at UBZA Zabrat Airport. Taxiing from the parking area to the runway took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The takeoff roll began, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 87 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 16 knots at 349°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 16-knot headwind.
After takeoff, the aircraft entered a level cruise, flying overhead UBZA Zabrat Airport for 5 minutes and covering 10 nautical miles. The flight then proceeded to climb from 606 feet above sea level to 2,225 feet, an increase of 1,619 feet in 2 minutes, while covering 5 nautical miles. This climb phase was followed by another level cruise, which started 1 mile south of Ceyranbatan and lasted 4 minutes, covering 9 nautical miles.
The flight continued with a climb phase from 2,270 feet to 4,154 feet, an increase of 1,884 feet in 2 minutes, while covering 4 nautical miles. This was followed by a prolonged level cruise, which started 9 miles west of UB12 Nasosnaya Air Base and lasted 17 minutes, covering 43 nautical miles. The flight then began its descent from 4,655 feet to 2,775 feet, a decrease of 1,881 feet in 4 minutes, while covering 10 nautical miles.
The flight continued with another level cruise, which started 8 miles north of Kyurdarmir and lasted 11 minutes, covering 24 nautical miles. The descent phase that followed was from 2,890 feet to 2,097 feet, a decrease of 793 feet in 2 minutes, while covering 5 nautical miles. The flight then entered a final level cruise, which started 1 mile south-east of UBBQ Gabala International Airport and lasted 3 minutes, covering 3 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 16 at UBBQ Gabala International Airport was conducted from the north, with a heading of 170.0° at 1 nautical mile and 270 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 16, which had a length of 3,474 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 88 knots. The touchdown point was 111 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 77 knots, which was fast. The touchdown rate was perfect at -19 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 14.8 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.9 meters from the centreline. The total landing distance was 1,017 meters, which was 29% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 8°C, with a wind speed of 14 knots at 260°, resulting in a 14-knot crosswind and a 1-knot tailwind.
The total flight distance was 114 nautical miles, taking 55 minutes, and the aircraft used 58 kilograms of fuel.
The aircraft in question, a SR22, successfully landed at UBBQ Gabala International Airport, but with some notable deviations from ideal performance. The final approach was initiated from the north, heading 170.0° at 1 nm and 270 ft above ground level (agl). The pilot successfully aligned the aircraft with the runway, but the touchdown point was 111 m beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight over-shoot.
The touchdown speed of 77 kn was faster than the target speed, which could have contributed to the over-shoot. However, the touchdown rate of -19 fpm was perfect, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown position was also slightly misaligned by 14.8 m from the centreline, which could have been due to a combination of factors including wind and pilot error.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8 °C and a wind speed of 14 kn at 260°. This resulted in a crosswind of 14 kn and a tailwind of 1 kn, which could have affected the pilot's ability to maintain a stable approach and alignment with the runway. Despite these challenges, the pilot managed to bring the aircraft to a safe stop, with a total landing distance of 1,017 m, which is 29% of the runway length.
The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 14.9 m from the centreline, which could have been due to the same factors that affected the initial touchdown position. Overall, while the landing was not perfect, the pilot demonstrated good control and a high level of skill in navigating the aircraft through challenging weather conditions.
