Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,441 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 551 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 16 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 36L at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The takeoff distance was 1,422 meters, which is 40% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 165 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 5°C and winds of 11 knots at 25°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 10 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile east of Vijfhuizen in the Provincie Noord-Holland, The Netherlands. The climb took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 92 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,024 feet above sea level to 33,046 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,022 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 51 miles northwest of Oost-Vlieland in the Provincie Friesland, The Netherlands. This phase lasted for 44 minutes and covered a distance of 278 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 25 miles west of Vigrestad in the Rogaland Fylke, Norway. The descent took 26 minutes and covered a distance of 107 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 32,910 feet above sea level to 1,436 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,474 feet.
The final approach to runway 35 at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland was made from the south, heading 350.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,272 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 35, which has a length of 2,441 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 154 knots. The touchdown point was 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 148 knots, which was fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -135 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3°C and winds of 15 knots at 350°. The crosswind component was 0 knots, while the headwind component was 15 knots. The total landing distance was 1,407 meters, which is 58% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 488 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 109 minutes. The aircraft used 3,912 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland, with a score of 97.4%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 350.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on runway 35, which has a length of 2,441 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 154 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for the landing.
The touchdown point was 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively short distance. The touchdown speed of 148 knots was faster than the target speed, indicating that the aircraft may have been slightly over-controlled during the landing. Despite this, the touchdown rate was smooth, with a rate of -135 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the centerline of the runway as it touched down. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were a temperature of 3°C and a wind speed of 15 knots from 350°. This resulted in a headwind of 15 knots, which may have contributed to the aircraft's higher touchdown speed.
The total landing distance was 1,407 meters, which is 58% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled during the landing. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft maintained its alignment with the centerline of the runway as it rolled out after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down smoothly and maintaining its alignment with the runway centerline. However, the higher touchdown speed and slightly longer landing distance may indicate areas for improvement in the pilot's technique or the aircraft's performance.
