Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,906 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,906 m of the 1,946 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 413 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at EGPF Glasgow International Airport, taking 13 minutes and covering 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, then departed from runway 23, with a takeoff distance of 1,789 meters, which was 76% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 171 knots, and the local weather conditions were a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 17 knots at 219°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile north-east of Linwood, Scotland, rising from 1,055 feet above sea level to 33,253 feet, an increase of 32,198 feet in 24 minutes, covering 136 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 9 miles east of Clogherhead, Ireland, lasting 109 minutes and covering 728 nautical miles.
The aircraft then started another enroute climb 2 miles south of Ponte de Lima, Portugal, rising from 33,987 feet to 34,773 feet, an increase of 787 feet in 2 minutes, covering 16 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started overhead Macieira de Rates, Portugal, lasting 46 minutes and covering 354 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its climb, starting another enroute climb 92 miles south of Sagres, Portugal, rising from 35,102 feet to 36,822 feet, an increase of 1,721 feet in 2 minutes, covering 17 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began at a specific latitude and longitude, lasting 49 minutes and covering 378 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it started its enroute descent 33 miles north-east of Caleta de Sebo, Canary Islands, Spain, descending from 37,752 feet to 26,188 feet, a decrease of 11,565 feet in 4 minutes, covering 35 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 6 miles east of Mala, Canary Islands, lasting 7 minutes and covering 48 nautical miles.
The aircraft then started its final descent 16 miles south-east of GCFV Fuerteventura Airport El Matorral, Canary Islands, Spain, descending from 26,215 feet to 1,312 feet, a decrease of 24,903 feet in 20 minutes, covering 14 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 01 at GCFV Fuerteventura Airport was from the south, with a heading of 1.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,240 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 01, with a runway length of 1,946 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above target at 144 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 412 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 138 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -326 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 20°C, with a wind speed of 12 knots at 30°. The crosswind was 6 knots, and the headwind was 11 knots. The total landing distance was 1,822 meters, which was 94% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking from the runway, taking 5 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,736 nautical miles, taking 281 minutes, and the aircraft used 11,082 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Fuerteventura Airport, achieving an overall score of 88.5%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 1.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,240 feet above ground level. The pilot executed a precise final approach, aligning the aircraft with the runway 01 at GCFV Fuerteventura Airport, which has a length of 1,946 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 144 knots. However, the touchdown distance of 412 meters was within acceptable limits. The touchdown speed of 138 knots was a bit faster than desired, but the firm touchdown rate of -326 feet per minute indicated a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments in the pilot's approach technique. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 20°C and a moderate wind of 12 knots at 30°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 11 knots, which may have contributed to the slight misalignment.
The total landing distance of 1,822 meters was 94% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the landing phase. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with some minor areas for improvement.
