Flight Score
Arrival
Reduce power earlier on approach to be at 125 kt by the stabilisation gate, not just by the threshold.
What happened: The approach was too fast at the stabilisation gate, crossing the threshold at 119 kt against a VREF of 125 kt.
Watch for: Airspeed indicator against 125 kt at the stabilisation gate.
See Arrival Approach
The point is that every knot above it is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast: at a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix for "the plane just wouldn't come down" is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: speed 56 kt FAST on the reference speed of 125 kt.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,242 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 410 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-600 taxied from the parking area to runway 07 at SAWH Malvinas Argentinas Airport in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 07, the aircraft used 1,059 m of runway, representing 39 % of the available length, and lifted off at 145 kt; ambient temperature was 6 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 299°, a 1 kt crosswind and a 1 kt tailwind.
Climb began overhead SAWH, ascending from 962 ft asl to 40,753 ft asl, an increase of 39,791 ft achieved in 45 minutes while traversing 330 nm.
Level cruise was established at latitude -50.0440078 and longitude -64.9884355, persisting for 218 minutes and covering 1,769 nm.
Descent commenced 5 mi west of SBWM Ribeirão Branco Airport, descending from 41,005 ft asl to 3,448 ft asl, a loss of 37,558 ft in 17 minutes over 121 nm.
The final approach to runway 15 at SBKP Viracopos International Airport was flown from the north-west on a heading of 128.0°, intercepting the glide path at 4 nm and 1,284 ft agl; local weather reported a temperature of 16 °C, wind 2 kt from 80°, a 2 kt crosswind and a 2 kt headwind.
Landing on runway 15, which is 3,242 m long, was executed with a threshold speed of 120 kt; touchdown occurred 408 m down the runway at 117 kt with a vertical speed of minus 61 fpm and excellent alignment.
The rollout continued to a total landing distance of 853 m, representing 26 % of the runway, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
After exiting the runway, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 2,227 nm, lasted 285 minutes, and consumed 11,320 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-600 entered the final approach to runway 15 at SBKP Viracopos International Airport from the north-west on a heading of 128.0° at 4 NM and 1,284 ft AGL. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was good at 120 kt, indicating an appropriate flare initiation.
Touchdown occurred 408 m down the runway at a speed of 117 kt, which was good, with a touchdown rate of -61 fpm that was excellent, and runway touchdown alignment described as very good.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 853 m, representing 26 % of the 3,242 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With a final score of 100.0 %, performance was exemplary; continued attention to the already stabilised approach parameters will preserve the high level of consistency demonstrated.
