Improve the takeoff
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,604 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 365 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 24 minutes and covered a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 30 at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (ZHCC) in Zhengzhou, Henan Sheng, China.
During takeoff, the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 118 knots, covering a distance of 645 meters, which was 19% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 5°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 260°. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 3 knots.
Following takeoff, the aircraft began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile northwest of ZHCC Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,531 feet above sea level to 22,200 feet above sea level, an increase of 20,669 feet, in just 5 minutes and covering a distance of 21 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase began 8 miles east of ZZHE Zhengzhou Air Base Zhengzhou (Henan Sheng, China) and lasted for 23 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 151 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started 12 miles east of Qingnian, Shandong Sheng, China. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 22,292 feet above sea level to 2,321 feet above sea level, a decrease of 19,971 feet, in 16 minutes and covering a distance of 62 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 9 miles north of ZSJN Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport Jinan (Shandong Sheng, China) and lasted for 3 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 19 at ZSJN Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 180.0° at an altitude of 1,275 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold.
The landing on runway 19 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 89 knots and a touchdown distance of 366 meters. The touchdown rate was smooth at -106 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 8.4 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -2°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 212°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 5 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,381 meters, which was 38% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centreline by 8.2 meters.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took just 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 255 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 61 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 601 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation aircraft successfully landed at ZSJN Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, achieving a high score of 96.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 180.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,275 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot successfully navigated the aircraft onto runway 19, which has a length of 3,604 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 100 knots. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory at 366 meters, and the touchdown speed was maintained at a good 89 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth, with a descent rate of -106 feet per minute (fpm). However, there was a slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position, with the aircraft deviating 8.4 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -2°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 212°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots. The total landing distance was 1,381 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway length. During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 8.2 meters.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and navigation skills. However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters, including the slight misalignment of the touchdown position and rollout alignment. Despite these minor issues, the pilot's performance was still highly rated, with a score of 96.9%.
