MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,992 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 371 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking area to the runway at UUEE Sheremetyevo International Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 06C, with a takeoff distance of 833 meters, which was 24% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 131 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -2°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 70°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb 1 mile east of UUEE Sheremetyevo International Airport, rising from an altitude of 1,677 feet above sea level to 42,640 feet above sea level, an increase of 40,963 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 97 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 8 miles north of USTC Staritsa Airport and lasted for 58 minutes, covering a distance of 261 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 7 miles south east of Ust'-Luga, with the aircraft descending from 42,552 feet above sea level to 1,596 feet above sea level, a decrease of 40,956 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 116 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 04L at EFHK Helsinki Vantaa Airport was made from the south west, with the aircraft heading at 47.0° at an altitude of 1,434 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing on runway 04L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 372 meters, which was good, and a touchdown speed of 115 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -398 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.4 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5°C and a wind speed of 14 knots at 160°.
The total landing distance was 890 meters, which was 30% of the runway length, and the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.2 meters from the centreline. Taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 483 nautical miles, taking 82 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,108 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at EFHK Helsinki Vantaa Airport on runway 04L, achieving a score of 92.4%. The final approach was initiated from the southwest, heading 47.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,434 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision during the approach, with a threshold height that met the required standards.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 118 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed range. However, the touchdown speed of 115 knots was slightly faster than desired, indicating a slight deviation from the optimal landing speed. The touchdown rate of -398 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 5.4 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5°C and a wind speed of 14 knots from a direction of 160°. The crosswind component was 13 knots, while the tailwind component was 6 knots.
The total landing distance of 890 meters was 30% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned from the centreline by 16.2 meters, which may have been due to factors such as pilot error or a deviation from the optimal landing path.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the optimal landing parameters. The aircraft's score of 92.4% reflects a good performance, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and runway rollout alignment.
