Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,563 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,563 m of the 2,993 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 627 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A319, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. This process took approximately 6 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 22R, with a takeoff distance of 1,042 meters, which is 35% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 144 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 19°C, with a wind speed of 15 knots coming from a direction of 210°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 14 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles south of Tarnby, Denmark, and ascending from an altitude of 1,025 feet above sea level to 30,967 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,942 feet, in 17 minutes and covering a distance of 79 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 2 miles northeast of Putbus, Germany, and lasting for 3 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then began another climb, ascending from 30,967 feet to 31,527 feet, an increase of 560 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The aircraft then started its descent, beginning 5 miles southwest of Thiessow, Germany, and descending from 31,527 feet to 15,062 feet, a decrease of 16,465 feet, in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 67 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 1 mile east of Milmersdorf, Germany, and lasting for 111 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles southeast of Milmersdorf, Germany, and descending from 14,611 feet to 1,441 feet, a decrease of 13,169 feet, in 14 minutes and covering a distance of 40 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 25R at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport, approaching from the east and heading 249.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,280 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed safely on runway 25R, with a touchdown point 204 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 115 knots, which was considered good, and the touchdown rate was fair at -202 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 18°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots coming from a direction of 190°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,475 meters, which is 49% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 4 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 203 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 53 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 2,087 kilograms.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport, achieving a high score of 97.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 249.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,280 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 25R, which has a length of 2,993 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 126 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown point was 204 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation but still within the acceptable limits.
The touchdown speed of 115 knots was good, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down at a safe speed. However, the touchdown rate of -202 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slightly higher-than-desired rate of descent during the landing phase. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 18°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from 190°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing, and the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach and touchdown.
The total landing distance of 1,475 meters was 49% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This suggests that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly, with a good runway rollout alignment. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, and the aircraft was able to come to a safe stop on the runway.
