MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,450 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,450 m of the 3,509 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 406 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.

Great job on achieving a landing score of 97.7%! Your approach phase was particularly impressive with excellent glideslope alignment and slightly above target speed. This shows great precision and control during the final descent.
During the landing phase, you maintained a good threshold height and executed a very good landing flare. This demonstrates your ability to smoothly transition from descent to touchdown, ensuring a safe and controlled landing.
In the touchdown phase, while the touchdown rate was a bit firm, your speed was on target and the touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone was well executed. Additionally, landing just 4.9 meters from the centerline shows great accuracy in positioning the aircraft on the runway.
As you progressed into the rollout phase, maintaining runway alignment within 4.4 meters from the centerline further solidifies your skill in controlling the aircraft during the final stages of landing.
Overall, your performance reflects a high level of proficiency and attention to detail. Keep up the excellent work and continue to hone your skills to achieve even higher scores in future landings. Your dedication to precision and accuracy is commendable, and it will undoubtedly lead to continued success in your aviation career.
