Departure
Ease the nose up sooner to lift off at 62 kt instead of letting speed build on the ground.
What happened: The aircraft lifted off at 77 kt, 15 kt above the target liftoff speed.
Watch for: Airspeed indicator: 62 kt at liftoff

Arrival
Reduce power earlier on final so threshold speed settles at 60 kt instead of carrying it into the flare.
What happened: You crossed the threshold at 90 kt, well above the 60 kt target speed, and that excess speed was still showing at touchdown. Crossing the threshold fast usually carries straight through to a fast touchdown.
Watch for: Airspeed indicator against 60 kt on short final.
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
At the 300 ft gate: no landing flap set and wings not level.

Side view — the last 1,230 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,230 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 467 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 18 at EDFB Reichelsheim Airfield. The Cessna Skyhawk took off with a takeoff distance of 471 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 77 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled takeoff.
As the aircraft entered the local airspace, the pilot encountered a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 3 knots at 74 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the tailwind was 1 knot. These conditions required the pilot to adjust the flight plan accordingly.
The aircraft entered a left-hand pattern from runway 18, completing the turn in less than 1 nautical mile in 16 seconds. The subsequent crosswind turn took 34 seconds to complete, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The downwind turn was executed at an angle of 62.9 degrees to the runway, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The downwind leg itself took 66 seconds to complete, also covering 2 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached the base leg, the pilot executed a turn at an angle of 17.1 degrees to the runway, again covering 2 nautical miles. The final approach was made from the north, heading 146.0 degrees at 1 nautical mile and 474 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 18 was executed with a threshold speed that was excessively high at 90 knots. However, the touchdown distance was good at 465 meters, and the touchdown speed was 76 knots, which was also excessively fast. The touchdown rate was smooth at -149 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions during the landing were a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at 78 degrees, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 0 knots. The total landing distance was 1,051 meters, accounting for 85% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good.
In conclusion, the flight was completed with a total distance of 8 nautical miles, taking 5 minutes to complete. The aircraft used 2 kilograms of fuel during the flight. Overall, the flight was executed smoothly, with good control and alignment throughout the various phases of flight.
The Cessna Skyhawk successfully landed at EDFB Reichelsheim Airfield, achieving an overall score of 80.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 146.0° at 1 nautical mile and 474 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a smooth final approach, with a good threshold height, indicating a well-controlled descent.
However, there were some areas for improvement during the landing. The threshold speed was excessively high at 90 knots, which may have been due to the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed during the approach. Additionally, the touchdown speed was also excessively fast at 76 knots, which could have resulted in a longer rollout distance. Despite this, the touchdown rate was smooth at -149 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled touchdown.
The landing distance was good, with a touchdown distance of 465 meters, which is within the acceptable range. The total landing distance of 1,051 meters was 85% of the runway length, indicating a good utilization of the available runway. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained a stable and aligned approach.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 9°C and a light wind of 2 knots at 78°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and there was no headwind component. Overall, the pilot demonstrated good control and decision-making skills during the landing, but there is room for improvement in terms of speed management.
