MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,830 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,830 m of the 3,202 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 471 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to the departure runway in 5 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
Departure roll was conducted on runway 24 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol; the takeoff run measured 1,602 m, representing 47 % of the runway, and liftoff was achieved at 162 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 23 °C, wind 6 kt from 279°, with a 4 kt crosswind component and a 4 kt headwind.
Climb commenced 1 mile north-west of Aalsmeerderbrug in the Province of Noord-Holland, the aircraft ascending from 971 ft asl to 34,971 ft asl, an increase of 34,000 ft in 22 minutes while covering 150 nm.
The first level cruise began 1 mile north of Fresnoy-le-Grand in Hauts-de-France, France, and persisted for 110 minutes, during which 800 nm were flown.
Descent started 4 miles north-east of Obejo, Andalusia, with the aircraft descending from 35,009 ft asl to 4,454 ft asl, a loss of 30,555 ft in 20 minutes and a distance of 103 nm.
A brief level cruise was initiated 4 miles north-west of Almogia, Andalusia, lasting 3 minutes and covering 11 nm.
The subsequent descent began 1 mile north of Alora, Andalusia, with altitude decreasing from 3,983 ft asl to 1,447 ft asl, a reduction of 2,536 ft in 4 minutes over 10 nm.
Final approach to runway 13 at LEMG Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport was executed from the north-west, on a heading of 132.0°, at 4 nm and 1,332 ft agl.
Landing on runway 13, which is 3,202 m long, was performed with a threshold speed of 145 kt. Touchdown occurred 59 m beyond the touchdown zone at 139 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 221 fpm and very good alignment. Local weather reported a temperature of 27 °C, wind 3 kt from 120°, a 1 kt crosswind and a 3 kt headwind. Total landing distance was 1,754 m, representing 55 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was very good.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 1,082 nm, took 167 minutes, and consumed 8,124 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-900 executed the final approach to runway 13 at LEMG Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport from the north-west on a heading of 132.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,332 ft agl; the approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
Threshold height was good and the threshold speed was good at 145 kt; the aircraft crossed the runway threshold and the touchdown point was 59 m beyond the touchdown zone.
Touchdown speed at 139 kt was a little fast, the touchdown rate was fair at minus 221 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
Total landing distance was 1,754 m, representing 55 % of the 3,202 m runway, and rollout alignment was very good; local weather was 27 °C with wind 3 kt from 120 °, a 1 kt crosswind component and a 3 kt headwind component.
With a score of 98.8 % the landing was strong; reducing touchdown speed slightly toward the target and moderating the descent rate will tighten the already excellent performance.
