Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 9,282 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,151 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Honda HA420 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Visalia Municipal Airport, taking approximately 4 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 30, with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 140 knots. The takeoff distance was 3,367 feet, which accounted for 60% of the runway length.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 64°F temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 269 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was also 1 knot. The enroute climb started overhead Visalia Municipal Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 621 feet above sea level to 24,993 feet above sea level, an increase of 24,373 feet in 11 minutes and covering 44 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 20 miles east of Three Rivers, California, and lasted for 28 minutes, covering a distance of 189 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 4 miles northwest of Narrows, Nevada, descending from 25,003 feet above sea level to 4,372 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,632 feet in 10 minutes and covering 50 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 01 at St George Regional Airport was made from the south, with the aircraft heading at 16.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,523 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway length of 9,282 feet, with a good threshold height. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 110 knots, but the touchdown distance was good at 1,150 feet. The touchdown speed was a little fast at 103 knots, but the touchdown rate was excellent at -59 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 23 feet from the centerline, but the runway rollout alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 59°F temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 270 degrees, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 1 knot. The total landing distance was 2,699 feet, accounting for 29% of the runway length. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 1 minute to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 290 nautical miles, taking 59 minutes, and the aircraft used 0 pounds of fuel.
The Honda HA420 aircraft successfully landed at KSGU St George Regional Airport, achieving a score of 97.0%. The final approach to runway 01 was conducted from the south, with a heading of 16.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,523 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 9,282 feet.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 110 knots. This may indicate a slight deviation from the ideal approach speed, but it did not appear to have a significant impact on the overall landing. The touchdown distance was good at 1,150 feet, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
However, the touchdown speed of 103 knots was a little fast, which may have contributed to a slightly higher rate of descent. The touchdown rate was excellent at -59 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 23 feet from the centreline, which may require some adjustments to the aircraft's approach path.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 2 knots from 270°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and the tailwind component was even weaker at 1 knot. These conditions likely contributed to a stable and predictable approach.
The total landing distance was 2,699 feet, which is 29% of the runway length. This is a reasonable distance, considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well under control during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft scored well on most of the key parameters. However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal approach and touchdown speeds, which may require some adjustments to the pilot's technique.
