MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,193 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 684 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport in Sardinia, Italy, the PC-24 VIP aircraft began its journey with a taxiing period of 8 minutes, covering 2 nautical miles to reach the runway. With a local temperature of 28 °C and a gentle headwind of 8 knots, the aircraft took off from runway 02, utilizing 38% of the available runway length. The takeoff distance was 1,128 meters, and the liftoff speed was achieved at 140 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Alghero, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 23,989 feet in 9 minutes, covering 37 nautical miles. The climb was followed by a brief level cruise, lasting 2 minutes and covering 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then initiated another climb, reaching 37,002 feet in 9 minutes, covering 51 nautical miles. This was followed by a prolonged level cruise, lasting 244 minutes and covering 1,759 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, reducing its altitude from 36,999 feet to 2,383 feet in 21 minutes, covering 113 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 24 at GABS Modibo Keita International Airport was initiated from the north-east, with a heading of 238.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,145 feet above ground level.
The PC-24 VIP aircraft landed safely on runway 24, with a touchdown point 259 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 99 knots, and the touchdown rate was -192 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,104 meters, utilizing 35% of the available runway length. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, covering less than 1 nautical mile in 2 minutes. The total flight distance was 1,976 nautical miles, taking 296 minutes, and the aircraft consumed 1,723 kilograms of fuel during the journey.
The final approach to runway 24 at GABS Modibo Keita International Airport from the north east was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 238.0° at 4 nm and 1,145 ft above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 117 kt, indicating a well-controlled descent. The touchdown point was 259 m beyond the touchdown zone, which, although not ideal, was still within acceptable limits.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 99 kt was good, and the touchdown rate of -192 fpm was also satisfactory, indicating a controlled and stable landing. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 m from the centreline, which may require attention during future approaches. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 35 °C and a wind of 7 kt at 230°, contributed to a relatively calm environment, with a negligible crosswind component and a moderate headwind.
The total landing distance of 1,104 m, which accounted for 35% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating a high level of control and precision during the critical phase of the landing. Overall, the landing performance of the PC-24 VIP was satisfactory, with a score of 95.2%, indicating a high level of proficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures.
