MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 6,986 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,400 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 16 at the Worland Municipal Airport, located in Worland, Wyoming, United States. The Vision Jet aircraft accelerated down the runway, covering a distance of 909 feet, which accounted for 13% of the runway's length. The aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 99 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 87 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind speed of 21 knots from a direction of 169 degrees. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 21 knots. The aircraft climbed from an initial altitude of 4,563 feet above sea level to 6,249 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,686 feet, in just 1 minute and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles.
The enroute climb phase was followed by a level cruise, which started 2 miles north of South Flat, Wyoming. During this phase, the aircraft maintained a steady altitude and covered a distance of 24 nautical miles in 5 minutes. The aircraft then began its descent from an altitude of 6,043 feet above sea level to 5,358 feet above sea level, a decrease of 685 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The enroute descent phase was followed by another level cruise, which started 1 mile north of Greybull, Wyoming. During this phase, the aircraft maintained a steady altitude and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles in 2 minutes. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 16 at the South Big Horn County Airport, located in Greybull, Wyoming.
The final approach was made from the north, heading 162.0 degrees, at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 900 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on runway 16, which had a length of 6,986 feet. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed at 77 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 1,394 feet, and the touchdown speed was 65 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was excellent at -92 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions during the landing phase were similar to those encountered during the departure phase, with a temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind speed of 19 knots from a direction of 169 degrees. The crosswind component was minimal at 0 knots, while the headwind component was 19 knots. The total landing distance was 2,449 feet, which accounted for 35% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The total flight distance was 42 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 13 minutes. The aircraft used 104 pounds of fuel during the flight. Overall, the flight was executed smoothly, with good weather conditions and precise control of the aircraft.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at KGEY South Big Horn County Airport, achieving a score of 96.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 162.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 900 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, aligning perfectly with the runway threshold.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft demonstrated excellent control, with a touchdown speed of 65 knots, which is well within the target range. The touchdown distance of 1,394 feet was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The aircraft's rate of descent was particularly impressive, with a negative rate of 92 feet per minute, showcasing the pilot's skill and expertise.
The landing was further enhanced by the favorable weather conditions, with a temperature of 86°F and a headwind of 19 knots at 169°. The crosswind component was negligible, at 0 knots, which contributed to the smooth and stable approach. The runway length of 6,986 feet was more than sufficient to accommodate the Vision Jet's landing requirements.
The total landing distance of 2,449 feet, which accounts for 35% of the runway length, is a testament to the aircraft's performance and the pilot's skill. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating a controlled and stable rollout phase. Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at KGEY South Big Horn County Airport was a success, with the pilot demonstrating exceptional skills and the aircraft performing admirably.
