MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,737 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 474 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Naples International Airport (LIRN), the Airbus A319 began its journey with a taxiing phase that lasted 8 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. As the aircraft reached the runway, it initiated its departure roll on runway 24, utilizing 66% of the available length to achieve a takeoff distance of 1,339 meters. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 148 knots, with a local temperature of 23°C and a gentle headwind of 1 knot.
As the aircraft climbed to cruising altitude, it passed overhead Vicaria, Campania, Italy, and continued its ascent to 38,010 feet above sea level, a gain of 36,796 feet in 20 minutes. The enroute climb phase was followed by a level cruise that lasted 293 minutes, covering a distance of 994 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 14 miles west of Formby, England, and continued to descend to 2,927 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,741 feet in 21 minutes. The final approach to George Best Belfast City Airport (EGAC) was initiated from the south-west, with a heading of 34.0° and a touchdown point 52 meters beyond the touchdown zone.
The aircraft landed on runway 04 at EGAC, utilizing 71% of the available length, with a total landing distance of 1,241 meters. The touchdown speed was slightly above the recommended threshold speed, but the touchdown rate was good at -196 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 1 minute to cover a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,241 nautical miles, with a total fuel consumption of 6,816 kilograms and a flight duration of 200 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 04 at EGAC George Best Belfast City Airport with a satisfactory approach quality, demonstrating good control and precision throughout the descent. The final approach was initiated from the south west, heading 34.0° at 4 nm and 1,261 ft above ground level, with the aircraft aligning perfectly with the runway centreline. The threshold height was good, allowing for a smooth transition to the touchdown zone.
As the aircraft touched down 52 m beyond the touchdown zone, the touchdown speed of 120 kt was slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 129 kt. However, the touchdown rate of -196 fpm was within acceptable limits, indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft remaining centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 12 °C and a 6 kt headwind, contributed to a stable and predictable approach.
The total landing distance of 1,241 m, accounting for 71% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline position throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered highly successful, with a score of 99.8% reflecting the high level of precision and control demonstrated by the pilot.
