MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 4,001 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 753 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Citation CJ3+ with the registration N60US, then departed from runway 34 at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Azerbaijan.
During takeoff, the aircraft lifted off the runway at a speed of 118 knots, covering a distance of 296 meters, which was 7% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 11°C, a wind speed of 8 knots from a direction of 330°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and an 8-knot headwind.
After takeoff, the aircraft began its enroute climb, which started overhead the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The climb took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 56 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,033 feet above sea level to 36,027 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,994 feet.
The enroute level cruise started 46 miles northeast of Suraabad, Azerbaijan, and lasted for 8 minutes, covering a distance of 26 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 59 miles northeast of Gilgilcay, Azerbaijan. The descent took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 67 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 36,078 feet above sea level to 1,956 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,122 feet.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, which started 14 miles northeast of Buzovna, Azerbaijan, and lasted for 19 minutes, covering a distance of 22 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 34 at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport was made from the south, with the aircraft heading 346.0° at an altitude of 1,264 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing was made on runway 34, which had a length of 4,001 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 104 knots. The touchdown point was 320 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 86 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was smooth at -108 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 1,161 meters, which was 29% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 12.9 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 181 nautical miles, and the flight took 69 minutes. The aircraft used 538 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Citation CJ3+ aircraft, registered as N60US, successfully landed at UBBB Heydar Aliyev International Airport, achieving a score of 90.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 346.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,264 feet above ground level (agl).
The pilot executed a smooth final approach, touching down on runway 34 with a speed of 86 kt, which was within the acceptable threshold speed of 104 kt. The touchdown point was located 320 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, but the touchdown speed and rate were both considered good, with a smooth touchdown rate of -108 feet per minute (fpm).
However, there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing performance. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was slightly off by 12.9 meters from the centerline. Despite these minor discrepancies, the overall landing distance of 1,161 meters was only 29% of the available runway length, indicating a safe and controlled landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 10 kt from 310°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 kt and a headwind of 8 kt, which the pilot successfully managed during the landing. Overall, the landing was considered good, with some minor areas for improvement.
