Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 2,014 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,014 m of the 2,610 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 620 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-900, then departed from runway 28 at HRYR Kigali International Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,231 meters, which accounted for 68% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 161 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 250 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 5 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Kigali International Airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile west of the airport. The climb took 29 minutes and covered 202 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 5,801 feet above sea level to 38,433 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,632 feet. The enroute level cruise then began 6 miles northeast of HUKH Buhuka Airport, and it lasted for 111 minutes, covering 661 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 22 miles southeast of FEGK Kouango runway, and it took 11 minutes to descend from 38,251 feet above sea level to 18,271 feet above sea level, a decrease of 19,980 feet. The descent covered 74 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute level cruise 5 miles north of FZFQ Mpaka Airport, which lasted for 3 minutes and covered 19 nautical miles. The final enroute descent started 19 miles east of FEBA Bangui Airport, and it took 10 minutes to descend from 17,537 feet above sea level to 2,527 feet above sea level, a decrease of 15,010 feet. The descent covered 23 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34 at FEFF Bangui M'Poko International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 346.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,316 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 34, which had a length of 2,610 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 141 knots. The touchdown point was 204 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 133 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was perfect at -41 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.1 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 1,933 meters, which accounted for 74% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 9 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 988 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 182 minutes. The aircraft used 7,922 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-900 aircraft successfully landed at FEFF Bangui M'Poko International Airport, achieving a score of 97.1%. The final approach to runway 34 was initiated from the south, with the aircraft heading 346.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,316 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being satisfactory. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, registering at 141 knots. The touchdown point was located 204 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing spot.
The touchdown speed of 133 knots was slightly faster than the desired speed, but the touchdown rate of -41 feet per minute was perfect, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.1 meters, which may require some adjustments in the landing approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 23°C. The total landing distance of 1,933 meters was 74% of the runway length, which is a relatively efficient use of the available runway space. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled path after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and touchdown phases. However, there are some minor areas for improvement, such as adjusting the landing speed and ensuring a more precise touchdown point.
