MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,648 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,648 m of the 1,962 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 869 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Black Square Starship N45FL taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EPRA Warsaw Radom Airport, a process that took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 07, with the aircraft taking off after covering 80% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,430 meters, and the liftoff speed was 132 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 320 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the tailwind was 1 knot. As the aircraft climbed, it began to ascend from an altitude of 1,611 feet above sea level to 32,282 feet, an increase of 30,672 feet in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 52 nautical miles.
The enroute climb started 2 miles east of EPRA Warsaw Radom Airport, and the aircraft continued to climb until it reached its cruising altitude. The enroute level cruise started 1 mile north of Ujazd, Poland, and lasted for 75 minutes, covering a distance of 340 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 3 miles south of Wolfsburg, Germany, and descending from 32,123 feet to 3,330 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 64 nautical miles.
The aircraft then leveled off overhead Buckeburg, Germany, and remained at that altitude for 21 minutes, covering a distance of 63 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 1 mile northeast of Laer, Germany, and the aircraft descended from 2,977 feet to 1,422 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 07 at EDDG Münster Osnabrück Airport was made from the southwest, with the aircraft heading 71.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,254 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 07, which had a length of 1,962 meters. The threshold height at 65 feet above ground level was above the target, while the threshold speed was well above the target at 125 knots.
The touchdown point was 441 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 93 knots and a touchdown rate of -52 feet per minute, which was excellent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.7 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 0 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,555 meters, which was 79% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.8 meters from the centerline. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area from the runway, a process that took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 533 nautical miles, and the flight lasted for 142 minutes. The aircraft used 736 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft, Black Square Starship N45FL, successfully landed at EDDG Münster Osnabrück Airport, achieving an overall score of 85.9%. The final approach to runway 07 was initiated from the south west, with a heading of 71.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,254 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 07, which has a length of 1,962 meters. However, the threshold height at 65 feet agl was above the target, indicating a slight deviation in the approach. The threshold speed was also well above the target at 125 knots, suggesting a slightly aggressive approach.
Despite these minor deviations, the touchdown point was 441 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively acceptable distance. The touchdown speed of 93 knots was within the target range, and the touchdown rate of -52 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there were some issues with the runway alignment. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.7 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 7.8 meters from the centerline. These deviations may require some adjustments to the approach and landing procedures to ensure a more precise alignment.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 27°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 0°. The crosswind and headwind components were minimal, at 2 and 1 knots, respectively, which likely contributed to the smooth landing.
Overall, while there were some minor deviations in the approach and landing, the Black Square Starship N45FL successfully landed at EDDG Münster Osnabrück Airport, demonstrating a good level of proficiency and control.
