Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,741 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 451 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
A Vision Jet took off from Vinita Municipal Airport, located on runway 17 at elevation H04. The taxiing phase took approximately 10 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile to reach the runway. After taking off, the aircraft lifted off at a speed of 94 knots, utilizing 39% of the runway's length (477 meters). The temperature was a warm 32°C, with a gentle wind blowing at 1 knot from a 69° direction.
As the aircraft ascended, it began its enroute climb, departing from Vinita Airport, where it climbed from an elevation of 1,681 feet to 19,070 feet above sea level, covering a distance of approximately 37 nautical miles in 12 minutes. This marked a significant increase in altitude of 17,389 feet. Following the initial climb, the aircraft leveled out into a cruise phase, maintaining a steady altitude and heading.
The first level cruise segment started approximately 3 miles southeast of the Joplin Airport in Missouri, and lasted for 25 minutes, covering 118 nautical miles. The flight continued with another descent from a high altitude, starting 6 miles southeast of the Lee C. Fine Memorial Airport, Kaiser, and ending at an altitude of 11,998 feet above sea level. The total descent from 19,096 feet took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 33 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered into a short level cruise phase, lasting 7 minutes, and covered a distance of 30 nautical miles from 3 miles northwest of the Stickle Cattle Farms Airport, Belle. Following this, the flight began another descent stage from 3 miles southeast of the Ultra Flight Airpark Berger, landing at an altitude of 2,976 feet above sea level. The total descent took 7 minutes and covered 26 nautical miles. This segment also marked the last leg of the long climb descent.
A relatively quick level cruise segment followed, where the aircraft cruised at a relatively constant altitude at an elevation of approximately 2,976 feet. The segment took 7 minutes to cover 13 nautical miles, north of Dardenne Prairie. The flight then initiated a final approach to runway 11 at St. Louis Lambert International Airport from the north-west. The approach started 4 nautical miles away from the airport at 1,281 feet above ground level.
The aircraft safely landed on runway 11, with a runway length of 2,741 meters, and landed within a good threshold height. The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 79 knots, while the touchdown speed was good at 63 knots and the touchdown distance was good at 447 meters. However, the runway touchdown rate was somewhat fair at -210 feet per minute. The approach and landing phase concluded with the aircraft misaligned 7.1 meters from the centerline.
Taxiing from the runway to the parking took approximately 11 minutes, covering 2 nautical miles. The overall flight distance covered was 265 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 81 minutes, requiring approximately 283 kilograms of fuel.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed on runway 11 at KSTL St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 121.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles (nm) and an altitude of 1,281 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was executed with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was well above the targeted speed. The Vision Jet touched down on the runway at a distance of 447 meters, indicating a controlled descent and minimal excess speed. The touchdown speed of 63 knots was also deemed good.
However, there were some areas for improvement during the landing. The touchdown rate was fair at -210 feet per minute (fpm), suggesting a slightly steeper descent than ideal. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.1 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions were favorable for the landing, with a temperature of 23°C, no wind, and a headwind of 0 knots. This allowed for a relatively smooth approach and landing procedure. The total landing distance of 572 meters was 21% of the available runway length, which is relatively short and indicates efficient use of the runway.
Overall, the Vision Jet pilot demonstrated good performance during the approach and landing, but could benefit from working on their touchdown rate. The runway rollout alignment was also excellent, with the aircraft maintaining proper alignment after touchdown.
