Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,006 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,441 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, then departed from runway 10L at Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) in West Palm Beach, Florida. The takeoff distance was 4,584 feet, which accounted for 57% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 147 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of KPBI, it encountered local weather conditions of 71°F temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots from 210°. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the tailwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile east of the airport and continued for 19 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from an initial altitude of 1,048 feet above sea level to a maximum altitude of 37,891 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile east of FL46 Bartram Farms Air Park in Elkton, Florida. This phase lasted for 65 minutes and covered a distance of 433 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 3 miles northwest of Calhoun Airport (KEAP) in Calhoun, Georgia. The descent from 37,842 feet to 1,815 feet took 26 minutes and covered a distance of 122 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 20L at Nashville International Airport (KBNA) was made from the north, with a heading of 197.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,223 feet above ground level. The local weather conditions at KBNA were 54°F temperature and a wind speed of 11 knots from 313°. The crosswind was 10 knots, and the tailwind was 5 knots. The aircraft landed on runway 20L, which had a length of 8,006 feet. The touchdown distance was 1,443 feet, and the touchdown speed was 124 knots.
The landing was considered good, with a threshold height and speed that met the required standards. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -224 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 32 feet from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 674 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 128 minutes. The aircraft used 10,145 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-700 aircraft successfully landed at KBNA Nashville International Airport, achieving a score of 96.9%. The final approach to runway 20L was initiated from the north, with the aircraft heading 197.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,223 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The threshold speed of 133 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 1,443 feet was also satisfactory, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled approach.
However, the touchdown speed of 124 knots was slightly lower than the expected value, which may indicate a slightly longer than necessary approach. The touchdown rate of -224 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight bounce or oscillation upon touchdown. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 54°F and winds of 11 knots from 313°. The crosswind component was 10 knots, while the tailwind component was 5 knots. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but the aircraft was able to maintain control and stability throughout the landing phase.
The total landing distance of 3,597 feet was 45% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 32 feet from the centerline, suggesting that the pilot may have experienced some difficulty in maintaining a straight and level attitude during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and rollout alignment.
