Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,002 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,147 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 24 at CYCK Chatham Kent Airport. The aircraft, a Vision Jet, accelerated down the runway, covering a distance of 1,623 feet, which was 36% of the runway's length. The liftoff speed was achieved at 96 knots, marking the start of the takeoff phase.
As the aircraft lifted off the ground, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead CYCK Chatham Kent Airport. The climb was a steep one, with the aircraft ascending from 1,646 feet above sea level to 8,508 feet above sea level, an increase of 6,862 feet, in just 4 minutes. This climb phase covered a distance of 8 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 5 minutes and covered a distance of 24 nautical miles. This phase took place 4 miles south of Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started 4 miles southeast of CDT7 Dutton Airport. The descent was a controlled one, with the aircraft descending from 8,096 feet above sea level to 1,169 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,927 feet, in 6 minutes. This descent phase covered a distance of 20 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at CYQS St Thomas Municipal Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 266.0 degrees at 1 nautical mile and 384 feet above ground level. The landing was smooth, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 66 knots and a touchdown distance of 1,146 feet, which was 42% of the runway's length.
The landing was followed by a perfect runway rollout alignment, with the aircraft coming to a stop in a short distance. Taxiing to the parking area took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 54 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 18 minutes. Notably, the aircraft used 0 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Vision Jet successfully completed a landing at CYQS St Thomas Municipal Airport, achieving a score of 99.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 266.0° at 1 nautical mile and 384 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, aligning perfectly with the runway.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft demonstrated excellent control, with a touchdown speed of 66 knots, which was well within the target range. The touchdown rate was also impressive, at -58 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was spot on, showcasing the pilot's expertise in navigating the aircraft to the desired location.
The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 59°F and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 294°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 kt, while the headwind component was 2 kt, providing a stable and predictable environment for the landing. The runway length of 5,002 feet was more than sufficient to accommodate the Vision Jet's landing requirements.
The total landing distance of 2,104 feet was 42% of the runway length, indicating a controlled and efficient rollout. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability throughout the landing process. Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at CYQS St Thomas Municipal Airport was a textbook example of precision and control, with the pilot executing a flawless approach and touchdown.
