MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,764 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 135 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 28 at SLLP El Alto International Airport in La Paz, Bolivia. The takeoff distance was 1,414 meters, which is 35% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 82 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 16°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot from 269°. The crosswind was negligible, and the headwind was 1 knot. The aircraft began its enroute climb 2 miles west of the airport, rising from 14,107 feet above sea level to 18,685 feet above sea level, an increase of 4,578 feet in 4 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 8 miles north of La Paz and lasted 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 16 miles north of La Paz, descending from 18,723 feet above sea level to 13,992 feet above sea level, a decrease of 4,731 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 34 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started again 12 miles south of SLTE Teoponte Airport and lasted 34 minutes, covering 281 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 40 miles south of SLGM Guayaramerín Airport, descending from 13,977 feet above sea level to 1,730 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,247 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 37 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34 at SLGM Guayaramerín Airport was made from the southeast, heading 327.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,264 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 125 meters, which is 23% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 62 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -215 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot from 269°. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 411 meters, and the total flight distance was 378 nautical miles, taking 63 minutes and using 51 kilograms of fuel. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed at SLGM Guayaramerín Airport, achieving a score of 99.7%. The final approach was conducted from the southeast, heading 327.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,264 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated excellent control and precision during the approach, ultimately landing on runway 34.
The runway at SLGM Guayaramerín Airport has a length of 1,764 meters, providing a sufficient surface for the TBM 850 to touch down safely. The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 67 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed effectively.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's distance was 125 meters, which is considered good. The touchdown speed of 62 knots was also within the acceptable range, indicating that the pilot had successfully slowed the aircraft down to a safe speed. However, the touchdown rate of -215 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the pilot could have managed the descent more smoothly.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. This is an important aspect of safe landing, as it helps to prevent the aircraft from veering off the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 269°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and headwind, making the landing even more challenging. The total landing distance of 411 meters was 23% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
Finally, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft remained aligned with the runway centerline as it rolled out after touchdown. This is an important aspect of safe landing, as it helps to prevent the aircraft from veering off the runway and reduces the risk of damage to the aircraft or the surrounding environment. Overall, the TBM 850's landing at SLGM Guayaramerín Airport was a success, with the pilot demonstrating excellent control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
