Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,591 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 359 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
First and foremost, congratulations on achieving an incredible aircraft landing score of 98.3%! This is an outstanding accomplishment and reflects a high level of skill and precision in all phases of the landing process.
Let's break down your performance in each phase to understand why you were able to achieve such a high score:
Approach Phase: Although the descent path was below the glideslope limit, it's important to note that this phase plays a crucial role in setting up a successful landing. This provides you with the opportunity to correct any deviations and ensure a smooth transition into the landing phase.
Landing Phase: Your landing phase was particularly impressive with a good threshold height and perfect landing flare. This indicates that you had excellent control over the aircraft during the final approach and touchdown, resulting in a smooth and controlled landing.
Touchdown Phase: While the touchdown rate was fair, it's great to see that your speed was on target and the touchdown distance was inside the touchdown zone. Additionally, the runway touchdown position being only 5.7 meters from the centerline shows a high level of precision and accuracy in your landing technique.
Rollout Phase: The fact that the runway alignment was only 5.6 meters from the centerline further demonstrates your ability to maintain control and alignment throughout the entire landing process, even as you come to a stop on the runway.
Overall, your performance in each phase of the landing process was exceptional, with only minor areas for improvement. Keep up the great work, continue to practice and refine your skills, and you will no doubt see continued success in your future landings. Well done!
