Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,569 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,569 m of the 3,811 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 538 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question departed from SAEZ Minister Pistarini International Airport, a military airport located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to departure, the aircraft, a Citation CJ3+, N60US, underwent a 10-minute taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, covering a distance of approximately 2 nautical miles. Following this, the aircraft took off from Runway 11. The takeoff distance covered 16% of the runway, which is 520 meters, and reached the liftoff speed of 128 knots.
With local weather conditions being a temperature of 19 °C, wind at 7 knots, and a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 5 knots, the aircraft began its enroute climb after departing from the airport. During this climb, the aircraft increased its altitude from 1,064 feet above sea level to 40,354 feet, a significant climb of 39,290 feet in just 15 minutes and a distance of 48 nautical miles.
The climb phase culminated in the enroute level cruise phase, where the aircraft maintained a stable altitude for a duration of 25 minutes and covered a vast distance of 485 nautical miles, with the cruising phase starting approximately 9 nautical miles north west of the SANA Establecimiento La Susana Navarro.
Following the cruise phase, the aircraft began its enroute descent phase 11 miles south west of the DOP La Puntilla La Puntilla. Here, the aircraft descended from an altitude of 40,272 feet to 2,819 feet, a decrease of 37,453 feet in a span of 23 minutes and a distance of approximately 90 nautical miles.
As the aircraft transitioned to the final approach phase, it aimed to land on Runway 17R at the SCEL Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. The airport's temperature stood at 9 °C, with a wind of 7 knots and crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 6 knots during the landing. In terms of threshold and touchdown speeds, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown speed of 93 knots and an alignment that was very good.
The final approach concluded with the aircraft landing on the 3,811-meter runway, with the touch down point located at 114 meters beyond the touchdown zone. A smooth touchdown rate of -143 feet per minute was achieved, further indicating a good landing procedure. Post-landing, the aircraft underwent a 1-minute taxiing period, covering less than 1 nautical mile to reach the parking area.
Throughout the flight, the aircraft consumed approximately 994 kilograms of fuel and completed a total distance of 630 nautical miles, with a total flight duration of 72 minutes.
Aircraft Citation CJ3+ N60US successfully landed at SCEL Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport on runway 17R, demonstrating a high level of piloting proficiency. The flight began with a final approach from the north, at a bearing of 177.0° and 4 nautical miles away from the airport, at an altitude of 1,259 feet above ground level. The aircraft's navigation and systems performed optimally, resulting in a 98.0% successful landing.
The landing was executed with precision, adhering to standard procedures. The pilot's decision to touch down at a speed of 107 kt was judicious, allowing the aircraft to maintain control while minimizing the impact of landing. The touchdown point, however, was 114 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which could be considered a minor deviation. Despite this, the touchdown speed of 93 kt remained in the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -143 fpm was characterized as smooth.
The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 9°C and a wind of 7 kt at 340°, posed a slight challenge with a resultant crosswind of 2 kt and a tailwind component of 6 kt. However, these factors did not significantly impact the landing, as the aircraft's systems and the pilot's skills ensured a stable and controlled approach.
The total landing distance of 1,480 meters, making up approximately 39% of the runway length, indicated an efficient and controlled rollout. The runway rollout alignment, a critical aspect of landing safety, was deemed very good, indicating a smooth transition from the landing phase to the rollout phase. Overall, the successful landing of Citation CJ3+ N60US N60US reflected the high level of expertise and training of the pilot, as well as the aircraft's robust design and performance capabilities.
