MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,186 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 688 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Cessna Longitude began with a 3-minute taxi from the parking area to the runway at ENAL Ålesund Airport, Vigra. The departure roll on runway 06 lasted 564 meters, covering 29% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 134 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 2°C with a 7 knot wind at 50°, resulting in a 2 knot crosswind and a 6 knot headwind.
The enroute climb started shortly after takeoff, climbing from 1,075 feet above sea level to 43,265 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles in 16 minutes. The enroute level cruise began 2 miles north of Kvam and lasted 49 minutes, covering 323 nautical miles.
The enroute descent commenced 19 miles north of EFKG Kumlinge Airfield, descending from 43,104 feet above sea level to 1,444 feet above sea level over a distance of 132 nautical miles in 23 minutes.
Upon final approach to runway 22L at EFHK Helsinki Vantaa Airport, the aircraft approached from the northeast at 4 nautical miles and 1,280 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 22L, which has a length of 3,186 meters, was slightly off target as the threshold height was slightly above the desired 57 feet above ground level. However, the touchdown speed of 96 knots and touchdown rate of -122 feet per minute were good. The touchdown point was 256 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.8 meters from the centerline. The local weather at the time of landing was 1°C with a 15 knot wind at 280°, resulting in a 12 knot crosswind and a 9 knot headwind.
The total landing distance was 1,350 meters, covering 42% of the runway. The runway roll-out alignment was very good. The taxi from the runway to the parking area took 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
