Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,570 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 686 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Honda Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at LSZS Samedan Airport, a process that took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 03, with a takeoff distance of 1,027 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 127 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 6°C, with a wind speed of 15 knots at 139 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 14 knots and a tailwind of 5 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles northeast of Samedan, and climbed from an altitude of 6,535 feet above sea level to 35,157 feet above sea level, an increase of 28,621 feet, in 14 minutes and covering 54 nautical miles.
The enroute climb continued, with the aircraft reaching a cruising altitude of 35,157 feet above sea level. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 1 mile north of Muotathal, and lasted for 20 minutes, covering 115 nautical miles. This was followed by another level cruise, starting overhead Bellevue, which lasted for 2 minutes and covered 7 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting overhead Bellevue, and descended from 35,137 feet above sea level to 6,932 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,205 feet, in 13 minutes and covering 23 nautical miles. This was followed by another descent, starting 1 mile southeast of Allaman, and descended from 6,772 feet above sea level to 2,655 feet above sea level, a decrease of 4,116 feet, in 4 minutes and covering 13 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 22 at LSGG Geneva Cointrin International Airport was made from the northeast, with a heading of 226.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,256 feet above ground level. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11°C, with a wind speed of 19 knots at 40 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 19 knots.
The landing on runway 22 was successful, with a touchdown point 438 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 94 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -79 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.2 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,558 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.5 meters from the centerline.
The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 440 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 63 minutes. The aircraft used 791 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Honda Jet successfully landed at Geneva Cointrin International Airport (LSGG) on runway 22, achieving a score of 91.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 226.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,256 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made with a tailwind of 19 kt, which presented a challenge for the pilot.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 438 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center. However, the touchdown speed of 94 kt was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -79 fpm was excellent. The threshold height at 62 ft agl was above the target, but the threshold speed of 107 kt was good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11°C and a wind speed of 19 kt from 40°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 kt, while the tailwind component was 19 kt. The total landing distance of 1,558 meters was 44% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the runway length of 3,570 meters.
During the rollout, the aircraft was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 8.5 meters. Despite this, the landing was considered successful, and the pilot achieved a high score of 91.2%. The Honda Jet's performance in challenging weather conditions demonstrates its capabilities as a versatile and reliable aircraft.
