MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 300 ft gate: centreline 2.9° off, against a 1° limit and speed 7 kt SLOW on the reference speed of 134 kt.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,131 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 508 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Indianapolis International Airport, the Embraer E175 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 6 minutes and covered 2 nautical miles. As it rolled down runway 23L, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 145 knots, clearing the ground at a distance of 1,444 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway's length.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb 1 mile southwest of KIND, rising from an initial altitude of 1,863 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 35,037 feet, an increase of 33,174 feet in just 12 minutes. The climb phase covered a distance of 143 nautical miles. Following a brief level cruise phase, the aircraft began its descent 3 miles southeast of McElhattan, Pennsylvania, and continued to descend until it reached an altitude of 4,037 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,380 feet in 19 minutes. The aircraft then leveled off for a short period before beginning its final descent, touching down on runway 31 at LaGuardia Airport with a touchdown speed of 120 knots and a firm touchdown rate of -331 feet per minute.
The landing distance of 1,357 meters accounted for 64% of the runway's length, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline. Following a smooth rollout, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 4 minutes and covered 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 624 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 1,992 kilograms of fuel during the journey, which lasted a total of 65 minutes.
The Embraer E175 aircraft touched down on runway 31 at KLGA LaGuardia Airport with a score of 95.0%. The final approach was initiated from the south east, heading 302.0° at 1 nm and 208 ft above ground level. The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 127 kt. The touchdown point was 88 m beyond the touchdown zone, indicating a slight overrun.
The touchdown speed of 120 kt was a little fast, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -331 fpm. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.4 m from the centreline, which was also reflected in the runway rollout alignment, which was off by 9.9 m from the centreline. The local weather conditions were moderate, with a temperature of 14 °C and a wind of 5 kt at 40°, resulting in a crosswind of 5 kt and a tailwind of 1 kt.
The total landing distance was 1,357 m, which accounted for 64% of the runway length. The approach quality was good, with a smooth and controlled descent. However, the slight overrun and misaligned touchdown and rollout positions prevented the aircraft from achieving a perfect score. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, but with room for improvement in terms of speed and alignment.
