Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,783 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 434 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A321 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EDDB Berlin Brandenburg Airport, taking 7 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 07L, with a takeoff distance of 1,061 meters, which is 35% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 147 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 16°C temperature and winds of 8 knots at 19°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 6 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile southwest of Bohnsdorf, Germany, and the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,180 feet above sea level to 33,908 feet, an increase of 32,728 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 117 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 3 miles east of Ostrowice, Poland, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 26 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent 4 miles northeast of Szczecinek, Poland, and descended from 33,897 feet to 4,824 feet, a decrease of 29,073 feet in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 73 nautical miles. Another enroute level cruise started 1 mile northwest of Suchy Dab, Poland, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles.
The final descent began 2 miles north of Cedry Wielkie, Poland, and the aircraft descended from 4,785 feet to 1,773 feet, a decrease of 3,012 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 29 at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, approaching from the southeast at a heading of 293.0° and at an altitude of 1,290 feet above ground level.
The landing took place on runway 29, which has a length of 2,783 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 150 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 435 meters, but the touchdown speed of 145 knots was fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -328 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.6 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 8°C temperature and winds of 24 knots at 330°. The crosswind component was 15 knots, and the headwind component was 20 knots. The total landing distance was 1,278 meters, which is 46% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 239 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 60 minutes. The aircraft used 3,206 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, achieving a score of 96.8%. The final approach to runway 29 was initiated from the south east, with a heading of 293.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,290 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a touchdown distance of 435 meters, which was considered good. However, the touchdown speed of 145 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to maintain a more controlled descent. The touchdown rate was firm, at -328 feet per minute, suggesting a relatively smooth landing.
Despite a good touchdown distance and rollout alignment, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 4.6 meters. This may have been due to the crosswind component of 15 knots, which was present during the landing. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 24 knots at 330°, also played a role in the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,278 meters was 46% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This suggests that the pilot was able to maintain a good control of the aircraft during the landing, and that the aircraft's performance was satisfactory. Overall, the landing was considered good, with the only notable issues being the slightly fast touchdown speed and the slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position.
