Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,635 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,635 m of the 2,561 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 511 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 25C at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF). The takeoff distance was 1,107 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 155 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 4 knots at 260 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was 3 knots. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile south of Kelsterbach, Hessen, Germany, and the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,345 feet above sea level to 35,120 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,775 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 147 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began overhead Hohentengen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, and lasted for 20 minutes, covering a distance of 159 nautical miles. The enroute descent started approximately 1 mile east of Baldichieri d'Asti, Piemonte, Italy, and the aircraft descended from an altitude of 34,993 feet above sea level to 1,300 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,693 feet in 33 minutes, covering a distance of 89 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 04L at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport (LFMN) was made from the southwest, heading 45.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,263 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 04L, which had a length of 2,561 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 145 knots.
The touchdown point was 101 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 140 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -254 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at 60 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,560 meters, which accounted for 61% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 404 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 87 minutes. The aircraft used 4,089 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, achieving a high score of 99.0%. The final approach to runway 04L was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 45.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold height that was considered good. The threshold speed was also satisfactory at 145 knots. However, the touchdown point was located 101 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 140 knots was slightly faster than desired, and the touchdown rate of -254 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 25°C and a gentle wind of 2 knots at 60°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions likely contributed to a smooth and stable approach.
The total landing distance of 1,560 meters was 61% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft maintained its direction and speed during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and landing phases.
