Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,457 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 237 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 26L at USSS Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The takeoff distance was 908 meters, which accounted for 34% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 147 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 14°C and wind blowing at 6 knots from a direction of 250°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb began shortly after departure, 1 mile west of USSS Koltsovo Airport, and continued for 32 minutes, covering a distance of 220 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from an initial altitude of 1,803 feet above sea level to a maximum altitude of 38,343 feet, an increase of 36,540 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 15 miles south west of UMEZ Mezhdurechenskiy Airport. This phase lasted for 78 minutes and covered a distance of 1,012 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, 7 miles west of Payturma, and continued for 18 minutes, covering a distance of 119 nautical miles. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 38,715 feet to 1,727 feet above sea level, a decrease of 36,988 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 18 miles south west of Khatanga and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 06 at UOHH Khatanga Airport was made from the south west, with the aircraft heading at 65.0° and at an altitude of 1,177 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing on runway 06 was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 123 knots, which was slightly faster than the recommended threshold speed. The touchdown distance was 238 meters, which was within the acceptable range. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The local weather conditions during the landing were characterized by a temperature of 17°C and wind blowing at 3 knots from a direction of 136°.
The total landing distance was 704 meters, which accounted for 29% of the runway. The aircraft used a total of 7,666 kilograms of fuel for the flight, which covered a distance of 1,372 nautical miles and took a total of 138 minutes.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at UOHH Khatanga Airport, showcasing a high level of precision and control. The final approach to runway 06 was initiated from the southwest, with the aircraft heading at 65.0° and maintaining a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. At an altitude of 1,177 feet above ground level (agl), the aircraft demonstrated a high degree of situational awareness and control.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 123 knots, which was slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 129 knots. However, this minor deviation did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The touchdown distance of 238 meters was well within the acceptable range, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-centered on the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 17°C and a gentle wind of 3 knots from 136°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was a negligible 1 knot. These conditions contributed to a smooth and stable approach, allowing the aircraft to maintain a firm touchdown rate of -320 feet per minute.
The total landing distance of 704 meters was only 29% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft had sufficient deceleration and control to bring itself to a stop within a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating that the aircraft's brakes and control surfaces were functioning effectively.
Overall, the landing of the Boeing 737-600 at UOHH Khatanga Airport was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating a high level of precision, control, and situational awareness. The minor deviations from the recommended threshold speed and touchdown speed were not significant enough to impact the overall performance of the landing, and the aircraft was able to bring itself to a stop within a safe and controlled manner.
