MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,041 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 581 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-600 began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway at RJCM Memanbetsu Airport, which took only 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nm. The departure roll from the runway 36 was successful, with a takeoff distance of 1,035 m, covering 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed reached 149 kt. The local weather at the time of departure was 6°C with a light wind of 3 kt at 109°, resulting in a crosswind of 3 kt and a slight tailwind of 1 kt.
The enroute climb began 1 mile north of RJCM Memanbetsu Airport, climbing from 1,126 ft asl to 38,034 ft asl, a total increase of 36,909 ft over 31 minutes and covering 191 nm. The level cruise phase commenced 89 miles southeast of Shikotan, lasting 136 minutes and covering 1,081 nm.
The descent phase started 76 miles southwest of PAAT Casco Cove Coast Guard Station Attu, descending from 39,142 ft asl to 2,478 ft asl, a decrease of 36,663 ft over 16 minutes and covering 112 nm. Another brief level cruise phase followed, lasting 2 minutes and covering 3 nm, starting 10 miles southeast of PASY Eareckson Air Station Shemya.
The final descent began 9 miles east of PASY Eareckson Air Station Shemya, dropping from 2,393 ft asl to 1,183 ft asl, a decrease of 1,211 ft over 2 minutes and covering 5 nm. The final approach to runway 28 at PASY Eareckson Air Station was smooth, with a good alignment and touchdown speed slightly above target at 137 kt. The touchdown point was slightly beyond the touchdown zone, but the touchdown speed was good at 124 kt with a descent rate of -170 ft/m.
The landing on runway 28 at PASY Eareckson Air Station covered a total distance of 1,034 m, which was 34% of the runway length. The touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The aircraft then taxied back to the parking area, taking less than 1 minute to cover the short distance.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 1,399 nm, lasting 195 minutes and consuming 7,781 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at PASY Eareckson Air Station, achieving a high score of 98.3%. The final approach to runway 28 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 288.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,075 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was slightly above the target at 137 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 157 meters beyond the touchdown zone, but still maintained a good touchdown speed of 124 knots. The touchdown rate was also satisfactory at -170 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's skill and precision in navigating the aircraft to the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 5°C and a wind speed of 5 knots from 320°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to pose any significant challenges for the pilot, who successfully managed the aircraft's approach and landing.
The total landing distance was 1,034 meters, which accounted for only 34% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop quickly and efficiently after touchdown, with a perfect runway rollout alignment. Overall, the landing was a success, with the pilot demonstrating excellent skills and control in navigating the aircraft to a safe and controlled touchdown.
