Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,861 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,861 m of the 2,332 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 578 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 28 at LIME Milan Bergamo Airport / Antonio Locatelli Air Base. The takeoff distance was 1,609 meters, which accounted for 64% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 162 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 120 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 4 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead Orio al Serio in Lombardia, Italy. The climb took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 85 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,817 feet above sea level to 34,173 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,356 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Ferrere in Piemonte, Italy. This phase lasted for 36 minutes and covered a distance of 234 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 2 miles north of Espeyrac in Occitanie, France. The descent took 25 minutes and covered a distance of 132 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 34,044 feet above sea level to 2,918 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,126 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Andrest in Occitanie, France. This phase lasted for only 2 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 20 at LFBT Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport, which was located to the north. The aircraft was heading at 201.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway and at an altitude of 1,227 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 20 was successful, with a touchdown point located 158 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 131 knots, which was within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -224 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 14.8 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 269 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,775 meters, which accounted for 76% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.0 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 7 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 464 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 95 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,618 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LFBT Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport, achieving an overall score of 88.4%. The final approach to runway 20 was initiated from the north, with a heading of 201.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,227 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 135 kt, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown point was located 158 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 131 kt was also within the acceptable range, but the touchdown rate of -224 feet per minute was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more smoothly.
The landing distance of 1,775 meters was 76% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.0 meters from the centerline, indicating that the aircraft may have drifted off course during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 11 kt from a direction of 269°. This resulted in a crosswind of 10 kt and a headwind of 4 kt, which may have contributed to the slight deviations from the intended landing spot.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some areas for improvement, particularly in terms of touchdown rate and runway rollout alignment.
