MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 305 m and 152 m above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,868 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,868 m of the 2,791 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,184 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320-ceo taxied from the parking area to runway 27 at Bristol Airport in 9 minutes, covering approximately 1 nm.
The aircraft commenced its departure roll on runway 27, achieving a takeoff distance of 1,006 m (53 % of the runway) and lifting off at 157 kt. Ambient conditions were 19 °C with a wind of 12 kt from 240°, including a 5 kt cross-wind component and an 11 kt head-wind component.
The first climb began 1 mile north-east of Wrington, rising from 438 m asl to 1,400 m asl - an increase of 961.4 m - in 1 minute while covering 4 nm.
A subsequent climb started overhead Tickenham, ascending from 1,222 m asl to 10,671 m asl, a gain of 9,448.9 m achieved in 15 minutes over a distance of 96 nm.
The initial cruise segment was established 1 mile south-west of Singleton, lasting 85 minutes and encompassing 639 nm.
The first descent commenced 1 mile south of Kingston Seymour, descending from 1,398 m asl to 1,223 m asl - a loss of 175.2 m - in 2 minutes while covering 7 nm.
A second descent began 45 miles south of Castelldefels, dropping from 10,570 m asl to 8,222 m asl, a decrease of 2,348.4 m in 5 minutes and spanning 37 nm.
The next cruise phase originated 14 miles north-west of Banyalbufar, lasting 2 minutes and covering 12 nm.
The third descent started 3 miles north-west of Estellencs, falling from 8,232 m asl to 1,222 m asl - a loss of 7,010.4 m - in 15 minutes over 86 nm.
A brief cruise followed 11 miles west of La Savina, lasting 3 minutes and covering 12 nm.
The fourth descent began 19 miles south-west of Es Cubells, descending from 1,222 m asl to 810 m asl, a reduction of 411.4 m in 2 minutes across 6 nm.
The final cruise segment was established 13 miles south-west of Es Cubells, lasting 4 minutes and covering 13 nm.
During final approach to runway 06 at Ibiza Airport, the aircraft approached from the south-west on a heading of 62.0° at 4 nm and 386.7 m agl.
The landing on runway 06 (length 2,791 m) recorded a threshold speed of 140 kt, with touchdown occurring 765 m beyond the touchdown zone at 118 kt and a smooth touchdown rate of minus 0.7 m/s. Alignment at touchdown was very good; local weather was 31 °C with a wind of 9 kt from 99°, a 5 kt cross-wind and a 7 kt head-wind. Total landing distance was 1,785 m (64 % of runway), and the rollout was offset 15.0 m from the centreline.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 5 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered 920 nm, lasted 145 (units as reported), and consumed 5,323 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A320neo established a final approach to runway 35 at LPPR Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport from the south, tracking a heading of 349.0° at 4 nm and 1,263 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
Threshold height was reported as good and the threshold speed was good at 136 kt.
Touchdown occurred 93 m beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 133 kt, which was judged good. The touchdown rate was firm, recorded as minus 395 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The aircraft rolled out over a total landing distance of 1,215 m, representing 36 % of the 3,330 m runway, and rollout alignment remained perfect. Local weather was 21 °C with wind 3 kt from 287°, giving a 3 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
Maintain the aim point within the touchdown zone and moderate the flare to reduce the firm touchdown rate; these adjustments will help convert the already high 97.0 % score into an even smoother landing.
