Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,604 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,604 m of the 3,026 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 737 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The Boeing 777-300 then departed from runway 08R at Miami International Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,502 meters, which was 47% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 184 knots.
As the flight progressed, it encountered local weather conditions of 35°C temperature and a wind speed of 14 knots at 99°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 14 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile south east of Miami Springs, Florida, and the aircraft climbed from 1,042 feet above sea level to 34,128 feet, an increase of 33,086 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 110 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 23 miles south west of Walkers Cay Airport in the Bahamas and lasted for 236 minutes, covering a distance of 1,959 nautical miles. The flight then experienced a series of enroute climbs and level cruises, with the aircraft climbing from 32,381 feet to 33,847 feet in 2 minutes, covering 15 nautical miles, and then from 34,903 feet to 36,750 feet in 2 minutes, covering 13 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started at a latitude of 54.0240506 and longitude of -18.1676493 and lasted for 162 minutes, covering a distance of 1,291 nautical miles. The flight then began its descent, starting 3 miles south of Strzelno, Poland, and descending from 35,816 feet to 3,892 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 121 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 33 at Warsaw Chopin Airport was made from the south east, heading 332.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 33, which was 3,026 meters long, with a good threshold height. The threshold speed was good at 145 knots, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 139 knots. The touchdown point was 326 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -138 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centreline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 4°C temperature and a wind speed of 18 knots at 260°, with a crosswind of 17 knots and a headwind of 5 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,529 meters, which was 51% of the runway length. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 4,627 nautical miles, taking 588 minutes, and the aircraft used 77,734 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at EPWA Warsaw Chopin Airport, but with some notable deviations from optimal landing procedures. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the south east, heading 332.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,276 feet above ground level. The pilot maintained a good threshold height and speed, touching down at 145 knots, which is within the acceptable range.
However, the touchdown point was 326 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating that the pilot may have slightly overestimated the aircraft's distance to the runway. Furthermore, the touchdown speed of 139 knots was a little fast, suggesting that the pilot may have been unable to fully arrest the aircraft's descent before touching down. Despite this, the touchdown rate was smooth at -138 feet per minute, indicating a well-controlled descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 4°C and a wind speed of 18 knots from 260°. This resulted in a crosswind of 17 knots and a headwind of 5 knots, which may have contributed to the pilot's difficulties in maintaining a straight course during the landing. The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline, indicating that the pilot may have struggled to compensate for the crosswind.
The total landing distance of 1,529 meters was 51% of the runway length, which is within the acceptable range. However, the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline, suggesting that the pilot may have continued to struggle with maintaining a straight course after touchdown. Overall, while the landing was successful, it was not without its challenges, and the pilot may have benefited from additional training or experience in handling crosswinds.
