MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,228 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,228 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 240 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 18 at LOCH Locher, where the aircraft took off after covering 40% of the runway's length, requiring a takeoff distance of 179 meters. The liftoff speed was achieved at 62 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots from a direction of 268 degrees, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and no headwind.
As the aircraft climbed en route, it started from an altitude of 2,920 feet above sea level and ascended to 3,711 feet, an increase of 791 feet, over a distance of 1 nautical mile in just 1 minute. The climb was initiated overhead LOCH Locher, located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy. Subsequently, the aircraft began its descent 1 mile south of LOCH Locher, where it decreased its altitude from 3,729 feet to 1,642 feet, a drop of 2,087 feet, over a distance of 5 nautical miles in 3 minutes.
The final approach to runway 19 at LIPB Bolzano Airport was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 192.0 degrees at an altitude of 854 feet above ground level and 2 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was executed on runway 19, which had a length of 1,228 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was achieved at 69 knots. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory, covering 238 meters of the runway. The touchdown speed was 57 knots, and the touchdown rate was -195 feet per minute, indicating a smooth landing.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those at departure, with a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots from a direction of 270 degrees, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and no headwind. The total landing distance was 505 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway's length.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway, covering less than 1 nautical mile in 1 minute. The total flight distance was 9 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 11 minutes. The aircraft used 20 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Turbo Porter aircraft successfully landed at LIPB Bolzano Airport, achieving a high score of 98.9%. The final approach to runway 19 was conducted from the north, with a heading of 192.0° at an altitude of 854 feet above ground level (agl) and a distance of 2 nautical miles from the runway.
The aircraft's performance during the landing was impressive, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 69 knots. The touchdown distance of 238 meters was also within acceptable limits, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 57 knots was well within the recommended range, and the touchdown rate of -195 feet per minute (fpm) was also satisfactory.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 22°C and a light wind of 2 knots from a direction of 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component and a headwind of 0 knots, making the landing even more challenging and impressive.
The total landing distance of 505 meters was only 41% of the runway length, indicating a high degree of precision and control during the landing. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively to bring the aircraft to a stop.
Overall, the Turbo Porter's landing at LIPB Bolzano Airport was a textbook example of a well-executed and controlled landing, with the aircraft's performance exceeding expectations in many areas. The high score of 98.9% is a testament to the skill and expertise of the pilots involved.
