Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 6,085 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,021 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
This flight was conducted in a Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, taking off from runway 22 at The Farm Airport (2MI6). The aircraft achieved liftoff at a speed of 90 kt, requiring only 26% of the runway's 629 ft takeoff distance. Local weather conditions at the time of departure consisted of a temperature of 59 °F, with winds blowing at 12 kt from a direction of 280 °, resulting in a crosswind of 11 kt and a headwind of 5 kt.
Following takeoff, the aircraft began an enroute climb from an altitude of 946 ft above sea level to 1,667 ft asl, a gain of 721 ft in just 1 minute and covering a distance of 3 nm. This phase of the flight concluded overhead Whittemore in Michigan, United States. Enroute cruise level was attained later over Whitehall, Michigan, and continued for a period of 7 minutes, covering 16 nm.
The final approach to runway 32 at KMKG Muskegon County Airport commenced from a heading of 319.0 °, while 1 nm from the threshold and at an altitude of 337 ft above ground level (agl). The landing on runway 32 was successful, with the threshold height being good, threshold speed at 76 kt satisfactory and a touchdown speed of 62 kt, with a touch down rate of -161 fpm and runway touchdown alignment being spot on. Local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those at departure: a temperature of 59 °F and winds blowing at 12 kt from a direction of 280 °, giving a crosswind of 7 kt and a headwind of 9 kt. The total landing distance was 1,490 ft, or 24% of the available runway length of 6,085 ft.
After landing, the pilot taxied the aircraft to the parking area over a distance of less than 1 nm in 2 minutes, and the overall flight distance covered was 19 nm. The flight used 13 lbs of fuel and lasted a total of 9 minutes.
The Beechcraft A36 Bonanza has successfully completed a landing at Muskegon County Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and control. The aircraft scored an impressive 94.6% on its landing performance, indicating a near-perfect execution of the landing procedure.
The approach phase began with the aircraft heading at 319.0°, approximately 1 nautical mile from the runway and at an altitude of 337 feet Above Ground Level (AGL). The landing was conducted on runway 32, which is 6,085 feet long, providing ample space for the aircraft to safely touch down. The pilot achieved a good threshold height, which is essential for a stable approach and a controlled touchdown.
The threshold speed of 76 knots was also satisfactory, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain a consistent and controlled speed during the approach. The touch down distance of 1,016 feet was good, considering the wind conditions, and the touch down speed of 62 knots was within the acceptable range. The negative rate of -161 feet per minute at touch down was also satisfactory, suggesting a controlled and stable descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing included a temperature of 59°F and winds of 12 knots from 280°. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a headwind of 9 knots, which the pilot successfully navigated. The total landing distance of 1,490 feet was 24% of the runway length, which is an acceptable margin, considering the wind conditions.
One minor issue was observed during the rollout phase, where the aircraft's rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 25 feet from the centreline. However, this discrepancy is relatively minor and did not compromise the overall safety of the landing.
Overall, the Beechcraft A36 Bonanza has demonstrated a high level of performance and control during the landing, showcasing the pilot's skill and expertise in navigating various weather conditions.
